SOURCE: dyson dc43

I had no suction with the head but has lots with the wand. Found out the problem. Take the head off and underneath the motor you can see a small segment of hose that pivots from wand to head depending on what position its in. Mine got jammed with a thin piece of wood that prevented it from pivoting to the head. Easy fix.

Dyson dc43,we don't have any suction with the pull-out hose, can you please help? Derek

In addition to what it says on the website, turn the machine over and remove the plastic screws from the base. Check for a blockage. Sometimes a hair grip or something gets lodged and then carpet fluff and hair forms around it.

At the website page, make sure you click NEXT at the bottom of the page as there are multiple pages.

How do replace belt on dc41

Ouch The video below shows how to to remove the brush head and how to clean it. I almost think that Dyson didn't ever expect this belt to break. The rest of the disassembly to get to the brush seems to be done by removing torx screws, I have not been able to find a replacement from dyson. A google search shows several sites that sell a replacement belt.

Dyson dc43 roller brush not turning?

Hey, this is Jeremy with Crucial Vacuum,

There are 3 potential reasons as to why your Dyson DC43 roller brush is not working:

1) The brush bar may be blocked by debris that was picked up by the vacuum. To remove the blockage, switch your vacuum 'OFF' and unplug before proceeding. Then, lay the vacuum down and try to remove anything that is lodged in the roller brush. If you still cannot clear the obstruction, you may need to remove the base plate to gain better access to the bar.

2) The roller brush may be set in a position that is too low for the type of surface that you are working on. Vacuums have different recommended heights when working on carpets and hardwoods. Try switching the brush "on" or "off" based on what type of surface you are working on.

3) If the vacuum cleaner brush is not spinning the belt might be broken, stretched out too much, or might have fallen off. Check the belt and replace if needed.

Why does the suction stop after 10 minutes of use on my Dyson DC43?

Your vacuum may be overheating and shutting off the suction motor. Clean the cyclone assembly and the filters to see if they could be restricting the airflow.
