The coil is the only item in those that uses the 220. If you only have 110 at the heating coil then there is an issue in the supply.

SOURCE: GE dryer starts but..... stops

What you describe is either a failed evenheat board or a failed motor relay.
Please post the complete model number from the machine and I can help you narrow it down. There should be a wiring diagram inside the console with voltage checks also.
Thanks/Mike

Pull one wire off the element and start the dryer in a heat cycle . Check power from that wire to the cabinet . Touch the meter to the terminal you pulled that wire off of , and check that voltage . You cannot get correct voltage by checking across the element . Trace the wire NOT getting 120 volts . It will either go to the timer or motor . It will lead you to the problem .

110 comes from the motor 110 comes from the timer remove the wire that comes from the motor see if you have 110 if you do the timer is bad if not the motor is. even if the motor is turning its bad

My Bosch Nexxt 500 dryer stopped heating. All other functions work fine except heat. I've checked continuity on heating element & overtemp breaker- both OK. What else could be the problem? Fuse?

CONSIDER THIS
BOTH LEGS OF AC MUST WORK TO GET HEAT FOR DRYER
Maybe you don''t have power to both legs of your receptacle. Both legs of the 220 volt AC have to work go get heat. Only one leg is used to run the motor etc.. Your motor runs so this can fool you into believing that the electrical connection is ok when it really is not. Your dryer is on a double circuit with two breakers. If one fails you lose one 110 volt leg which can be the one giving the full 220 Volt needed for the heater. This happens quite frequently and people mistakenly replace heating coils. You could have a bad breaker, one of the two. You must check this first before assuming anything else. Get help if you are uncomfortable with potentially deadly voltages

My beko dcrs76w condensing tumble dryer was blowing out cold air so we repaced element & thermostat buts still not fixed. We have cleaned out filters aswell. Any clues as to what the problem could be?

In most dryer, there is a thermal fuse and open from overheating. Generally, it installed on the dryer's exhaust duct. Typically, you must remove the back panel of a dryer to access the fuse.

most dryers are 220. its possible your breaker is half tripped. try cycling the breaker.. you should get 220 across it while its running. (Be careful).

Why would the Dryer not heat after an international move from Austrailia 230V 50 hz to Thailand 220V 50 Hz, when programs, air movement, evrything else functions properly?

Your problem is one electric leg has no power. You are getting power for a single need. But you need double that power for the heating need.
like 110. And. 110. Equals 220 Soo 110 is supplying one need ,that needs only 110 But the heating coils need 220 that is where the second leg comes in... Be sure bothe breakers have powers going out. Into dryer

Gew9200LW duet dryer

If this is a 220 VAC dryer use a voltmeter at the wall plug. Chcking from common, usually the leg with the angled blade, to each of the hot legs, each with the straight blade. You need to have 110 VAC in both of these. If there is only 110 at one of the legs the motor will run but the element will not heat. If you find only one leg has 110 VAC try a new circuit breaker in the breaker box. If the breaker is bad it will appear to reset, but still not send current. If you have 110 on both legs check in the dryer for a burned off wire at the timer or element.

Dryer does not dry

If you are able check the plug and make sure that you have power on both legs. 220 is split into 2 legs of 110 one runs motor 1 runs heating element. If both legs have power than it is more than likely the heating element.

Kenmore 70 series dryer works but no heat

check your power if one leg is down eg 110 to the motor drier will run but not heat if the heater is getting 110 but not the motor drier will do nothing check for a partial tripped breaker eg one side tripped but not fully just turn off and reset check outlet for 220 check power cord at terminal block for loose or burned cord unplug first lol if cord is burned just means it was loose when in stalled most of the time this promb is elec.
