When I turn on the PC the following message appears and my system goes turn off... For Realtek RTL8101E/8102E PCI-E Ethernet Controller v2.13 PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable PXE-M0F: Exiting...

This error occurs when the BIOS finds no hard disk drive to boot from, and tries and fails at booting thru the network jack (PXE Boot is a network boot used in large corporations, usually to image a system.)
Reseat the hard disk drive in the system, then reset the bios defaults and see if the system will boot normally. You can also try running diagnostics (Fn + Power on a Dell)
Most likely scenario is that the hard disk drive has failed and you will need to replace it.

PXE-E61 : MEDIA TEST FAILURE , CHECK CABLE

Normally, your laptop should be configured to boot up from the hard drive before trying the network boot up. When the hard drive fails or is no longer available, or the boot up sequence in BIOS Setup has been changed so that the network boot is set before the hard drive, the symptom you describe fails.
I would recommend that you do the following:
1. Check BIOS Setup & make sure the boot sequence is set in the correct order (Hard Drive 0 should be before Network Boot).
2. Make sure that the hard drive is seated properly in its slot & that all connections are tight.
3. Make sure that the hard drive powers up when you turn on the laptop.

If none of this helps, then your hard drive has failed & might need to be replaced.

When I turn the computer on, I get the following message: PXE-E61 media test failure, check cable PXE-M0F exiting intel boot agent Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected...

This happens when the BIOS can't find the hard disk. If you're lucky it's just the hard disk that has failed, if you're not it's the motherboard itself the one that failed.
To find out which replace the hard disk with a good one then try to boot in th BIOS - if you can it's the hard disk, if you can't it's the motherboard.

I have a message that says , error message: PXE Media test failure chek cable

PXE or Pixie errors occur when the system tried to boot to the network connection and failed. This error usually occurs when the hard drive fails. If your system does boot to windows and you are just getting the error, then you can change the network card setting in BIOS to turn PXE boot off.
If the error occurs and the system doesn't boot to the hard drive, then the hard drive has most likely failed.

Fail to boot

When you say boot do you mean POST?

Is it turning on at all?

What happens exactly when you press the power button?

Any beeps?

Open the case and remove everything except 1 RAM chip, the cpu, the cpu cooler. Hook up the monitor to the onboard graphics and try to boot again.

If it POSTs then you know that you have a problem with one of the pieces of hardware you removed, replace them 1 at a time until it fails to POST then you know which piece is defective.

If it still doesn't POST with everything removed, try a different RAM chip, if it still fails POST then you need to replace the motherboard.

Lowrance 330c screen says '' boot failed''

Try a hard reset:

1. Turn the LMS-330 off
2. Press and hold the ZIN, ZOUT, and PWR buttons
3. Release the three buttons once you see the "warning, do not rely..." message appear

If you get that far, the problem is solved. If you get boot failed again, try installing the latest update which can be downloaded from http://www.lowrance.com/en/Downloads/Product-Software-Updates/

If you still get boot failed, you will need to get the LMS-330 repaired/replaced. You can contact Lowrance support at 800-324-1356 or email them by going to http://www.lowrance.com/en/Support/Product-Support/Contact/

Fails to boot

You might try a Hirens Boot CD, un-zip the files, create a bootable cd from the .ISO file and boot your troubled system, select virus scan on boot.
