SOURCE: flashing lights with no fans, held power button down & now only red lights (internet adapter, volume button) & fans are working why? help?

this sounds like a hardware or driver issue
restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer

you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell you if and what file has been corrupted or missing then you will know if its a hardware issue

test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) Sata make sure they have dust free secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty ?

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause this problem a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end for a computer to be able work properly

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust

if you remove the graphics card to clean the socket replace it

restart the computer the found new hardware wizard should activate

or you might try

Restart your computer
during the boot process you will see on the screen a certain key to press usually the Delete or F2 to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
hope it helps

Changed prosser fan now pc wont start

These fans are very tricky to install, they must be mounted in the proper holes and locked into place, there are many different methods of completing this depending on the manufacturer of the motherboard/fan. On the 4 corners of the fan there should be the locking mechanism, usually something that will need to be pressed into the hole then twisted to lock, all 4 must be secure and equal pressure on each. Check with motherboard/fan manufacturer to see the proper procedure. If you removed the CPU check that the pins are not bent and that the chip is locked into place with it's proprietary locking mechanism. If pins are bent take it to a reputable repair shop, don't try to straighten them out yourself unless you are experienced in this.

Press start button, fan trys to start, green light comes on then changes to a red flashing light

If your fan is trying to start up but won't, your system is going to give you a warning and most likely shut down. Make sure you have good connection for fan power and that it is clean and can turn freely. You may want to cosider replacing the fan.

When red light is flasing on and off what may be the problem? on epson scanner

If the start button light is flashing red, it is because of one of the following problems:
  • The scanner is not connected to your computer properly or your software is not fully installed.
  • The transportation lock is locked. Slide the lock to the unlock position.
