Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I haven't used it in a while. I plugged it into the computer and it starts charging but doesn't show up on the computer. I can't see it. It's a windows computer. I've searched around online and there's also nothing in the instructions manual. I have no idea what to do now. Please help.

SOURCE: MP4 digital player
My Mp4 player will not start. When I turn it on an hour glass just pops up. I loaded music on to it no problem and it worked fine. Turned it off one day and the next day nothing but an hour glass...computer won't even receognize the player...Gereric MP4 player bought off ebay and made in China...Any ideas how I can reset the player??

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.
After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.
