I have sky tv and a marantz system, marantz system flashes pcm dig and tv loose signal intermittently, help

Your Sky box might need a firmware refresh. Switch it off at the mains socket. Press and hold down the BACKUP key on the SKY BOX (not the remote). Switch on at the mains and keep the backup key pressed down until the TV shows an info screen that the box is updating.

Allow the box to complete the cycle.

Try your system again.

Marantz sr-96 receiver master volume not working

Possible that the analogue to digital converter is faulty, possible failure of the potentiometer and the motor drive. If the volume does increase with the remote then it is possible that the POT or the circuit to it is faulty. check this D/A converter.

Cant get mp3 files from my marantz pmd620 to play on my mac

Well, try copying them to a folder on your computer. Also, make sure that the files are not proteced with DRM. If these fail, open iTunes. Select all of the MP3 files and drag them into your library. That should fix it.

Screen Calibration

Hi,

I'm a french customer with a Marantz RC5400 wich has a screen LCD broken but the touchscreen is OK

I don't have the fix for your problem but I'm searching for a screen replacement at low cost...

If you always have your Marantz with the touchscreen problem, I'm interested for a deal

Thanks

Marantz CD48 - CD spins backwards

Check the small signal transistors BC338 and BC328, they're under the transport mech and will be near where the spindle motor plugs in to the PCB.
One of the transistors acts as a brake which momentarily puts the motor in reverse polarity to stop the CD rotating during 'stop' or 'open tray' modes. The reason the CD is spinning backwards is that the transistor which drives the spindle motor forwards during playback is faulty and is triggering the braking transistor hence spinning backwards.
The transistors should be 'BC328-25' / 'BC338-25' (25v)
Replace these and all should be well.

Hope this helps
