SOURCE: how do i adjust oven pilot light on vulcan range

hi, there is an orfice for the oven located on the gas valve. If you are using LP gas, the orfice should be turn down all the way (counter clockwise). If you are using natural gas, the orfice should be turned out about 2-1/2 turns. Was this oven set up to be used with one gas and noe is being used with another? If so, you will need to do more then adjust orfices. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Oven is not holding correct temp

Hi,

Electronic ovens with a digital display use a sensor to monitor oven temperature. To solve temperature problems for these models, you need to replace the sensor. On some digital-display models, you can calibrate the temperature using the key pad. See your operator's manual for details.

Ovens without a digital display often use a mechanical system for controlling temperature. On many of these units, you can remove the thermostat knob and adjust the knob itself to more accurately represent the actual setting of the thermostat.

When you remove the knob, there's a screw on the back of it with a small calibration plate, you can loosen the screw, adjust the plate, and then tighten the screw again. If the knob isn't adjustable, and the oven temperature is off by more than 30 to 40 degrees, you need to replace the thermostat to solve the problem.

Let us know if you want something else please accept the solution.

Hi: I just installed Frigidaire gas range and have a couple questions. 1. 2 surface burners each have flame too high on only half the burner. it shoots up pretty high. How can I adjust this? 2....

Hi. There is an adjustment screw on each burner. Just make tiny adjustments until you are happy with it. Regarding the gas hiss, yes that is normal.

3 thumbs up please. Thanks, Joe

Converting to lP and can't get oven to adjust properly

Hi,

A very common occurrence surprisingly...to me anyway.

Have you changed the orifice in the oven when the conversion was done, both on the bake and broil burner supply tube ?

Need to start there even if it seems obvious, I see it a lot.

let me know,

Good luck,

macmarkus :)

Ge propane kitchen range changed to natural gas.can't get the ove

Hi, Did you flip the cap on top of the regulator? As far as adjusting the bake/broil orfices, all you will nee to do is turn them 2 full turns counter clockwise. Start the oven and watch the flame. It should have blue tips as much as possible.
You might have to raise or lower the orfice adjustment as needed.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Flame to high

Hi, To lower the size of the flame, turn the orfice on top of the gas valve in the oven. You will need a 1/2" wrench and need to turn the orfice clockwise to lower the flame.
please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

Yellow flame after an Lp conversion

I remember having a stove with an adjustable orifice in the oven. It looked like a double nut arrangement. If that is what you find, tightening them to each other shrinks the size. Should turn fairly easy, do not force. You may also find a pilot adjustment behind the oven control knob. Hope this helps.
