Question about The Computers & Internet

Is Centrelink entitled to butcher my daughters pension she received today because she received a long service leave payout when she voluntary left her job in November when I came home from hospital?

I am eighty nine years old and had a second fall on the eighth September, this time it was almost fatal due to horrendous blood loss. My daughter is on a disability permanent pension, she gave up her job in November to be home with me as I was now bodily disabled. She got ten year payment for LSL just over two thousand, thy took six hundred twenty eight + forty cents out of leaving her with very little for next 2 weeks. Please where can I get the correct information?

First call is to Centrelink to explain your situation. Your daughter may be eligible for the carers pension or an added allowance. I don't know your personnel circumstances (housing, assets etc) or your daughters wage but she may get money back at tax time if she has left work now. Secondly if you still are having difficulties then make an appointment to visit your local councilman / alderman and ask for intervention. You may get lucky. All information given is only my opinion and should not be taken as professional advice. Cheers Bob

My wife is getting compensation for a public liability claim. Can Centrelink take it??

if they have been making disability claim payments they can get those payments paid back from you when your claim is settled for the period the claim was lodged to settlement date
for example if you claimed a payout of 500,00 dollars for an injury and the center link paid you disability to the sum of 100,000 dollars over the claim period then they will be entitled to that 100,000 back on settlement of your claim
best talk with qualified legal advice as to where you stand

Can I view my centrelink account to see credits and debits please.

Go to MyGov and set up your centrelink account there. It is the latest idea from our government. (use your customer number and add a password) Write down your password and put it where you can get it easily if you forget. (Under a magnet on the fridge, or on a filing cabinet).
Go to Humanresources and click on Centrelink. Log in and check your payments for 2014 - 2015. They should be there. Also, you should be receiving Centrelink online letters to let you know of any changes. You can also check by logging into your bank account. Set up a username and password with your bank online.
