My bryant furnace fan will not turn on. Everything is sequencing, the induction fan starts and the flame lights, but the fan will not turn on. The capacitor reads 4.86 uf. Any suggestions?

Your fan delay relay is not functioning. On most furnace fan controls, there is a fan delay relay that delay the fan from turning on until it senses the temperature increase, typically around 130 degrees. once the relay senses the temperature increase it closes a contact inside the sensor and turns the blower on. It is the same device that keeps the fan running once the furnace turns off. Just take the Model number and serial number to your local dealer and get a fan delay relay and replace it.

Sounds to me like it is going off on a weak high limit switch. With the fan on it will prolong the event but will not stop it. I would check all of the high limit switches. It would most likely be one close to the heat exchanger.

Fan does not shut off

If everything else appears to be working properly could be the thermostat calling for fan or installed improperly.

Furnace tries to start. Blower fan moves momentarily but doesn't.

May have a start capacitor on fan to get it started. If fan only jerks, it is probably bad. Replace if needed. Be sure to short it out with a rubber handled screwdriver or something to make it spark before removing.

My suggestion is you made a wiring error. Does the furnace come on when you turn the thermostat DOWN?
Re-check your wiring. The AUTO-MAN switch for the fan only switches the fan on, leave it in auto.

How can i wire in an auxilary fan to run with the furnace blower

Hi, if the fan doesn't draw too much power, there is no problem wiring it in parallel. I'm assuming it runs on the same voltage as the blower. If not, or if the fan requires a lot of power, you can wire in a relay to run the fan. If you provide details on the furnace and the fan I can be more specific.

My AC unit wont blow the cold air.

if the ac outside is working, but not the furnace, means there is a control problem with the furnace, check wires in the furnace, make sure there is a blower wire plugged into the contact marked cool on the control panel of the furnace
