The X5 works with SD and SDHC cards, which max out at 2GB and 32GB, respectively. It will not work with SDXC cards such as yours.

I just turned my camera on and on the screen it says Write Protect. WHat does that mean?

It means the memory card inside it has been set to write protect so that images cannot be lost. If you take the card out there should be a tiny slide switch on the card itself (usually on the side). If you move the switch to the opposite direction you should be able to write to the card. You might want to check what is on the card before formatting to make sure there's nothing you need to keep :)

Does GE x5 camera have live view???

That's the only kind of view it has. You look at the screen to frame your picture....that's "live view".

How do i format my memory card to GE x5 so i can see pics

"format" means erase. Is that what you want to do? If not, please be specific as to what you're trying to do so we can help but please, do not format unless you want to erase all of your pics.

When I turn on my ge x5 camera it beeps and says write protect. I cannot take any pictures. Will you please explain how I can fix this?? Thank you Jimmee Hart

Take the memory card out of your camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My GE X5 sometimes it got Hung-up! what I did is, I removed the battery and restart again. Another problem, sometimes after I took picture and preview it the camera say "cannot view unsupported...

it's normal. The pictures be noticed "cannot view unsupported formats" alway are these ones you have watch it on computer and have do some edit of them, such as turning and so on. Is this situation? This is normal, as the camera can't realize the action from PC.

Sometimes pictures show up on memory card of GE x5 cam. sometimes they don't. what could be the problem?

You have an internal memory and memory card selection on your camera. If you have it set on internal memory you can take photos but they won't show up on the memory card unless you save them over to the card. Change your settings and this should fix the problem
