SOURCE: How can I fix a Fisher double tape deck that won't

If you are getting no power then you need first to check the internal fuse. It might have simply blown without anything having gone (if your lucky). Some models use a fusable resistor, often an odd looking resistor with PC markings as: FR (100) unlike normal ones that have R100.
Check to see if the power switch is broken, then look around at the power section on the PC board. Suspect anything on a heat sink, look for signs of burning and damage. If you have a muti-meter carefully check to see if anything is getting power.
Good luck!

SOURCE: I have a fisher cassette deck CR-W48 and the drive

HELLO

The answer is YES! I'm not sure of where you are, but in the UK there are places like Maplins Electronics. It might also be useful if you have a service manual for the machine as well as it might tell you what size of belt you need.

There are many places on the web that sell belts and I'm sure it won't be too long before to have it running again.

ALL THE BEST WITH IT!

Sony dual deck, deck B works fine, deck A won' run the tape but just keeps clicking as it auto-reverses.

Hi amitchell47,
The rubber belts that turns the gears is already worn out. Usually, there are two rubber belts in a cassette deck. You have to replace both belts. I hope everything works out. Good luck.

Looking for part number: Drive belt or kit for Fisher Cassette Model CR-124

good luck finding a part number for something this old. I might just measure the size (diameter) and width of the belt, and see if I couldn't get a generic replacement.

Sony WE605S won't play in back direction any more

if the square belt kinda serpentines in and around a couple pulleys (or did originally) then it did not get put back on correctly. try to think of another way it could be threaded through the pulleys.

Dual Cassette Deck won't stop or auto-reverse

There is a tape tension sensor which, it appears, isn't working. Check to see if the linkage to this sensor may have been misaligned while you were replacing the belts. Also check to see that the sensor isn't binding or sticking.
