Question about Panasonic KX-FPC95 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax

Open Question

Low handset volumn

I recently "lost the ground" comming into my cottage, and the vcr and tv appeared to be "fryed" and not operational. I then discovered that my two Panasonic cordless phones, one for a KX-FPC95 fax combo, and one for a KT-TC1710B phone, same handset for both, had very low volume. The fax and the spearkerphones on the fax and base work fine, so just the handset volume has been effected. I don't know if it was the electrical problem, but both handsets suffer the same fate of low volume, simultaneously, and after no other discernable change. I belive my solution is going to be to try to replace the handset for the fax, and just get a new cordless.

Lost the manual and tried to look it up but model number is not on the List. DECT1480-3. Trying to make the volumn higher when taking to people can hardly hear them and need to set up my answering system.

You can download the manual from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.uniden.com/content/ebiz/uniden/resources/ownersmanuals/DECT1480-2om.pdf

The only difference between the 1480-2 and the 1480-3 is that the -3 has one additional handset. Operationally they're identical.

I would not think the speakers are defective but rather faulty capacitors in the power supply circuitry if the TV works good for some time.
