Try unplugging it from the wall, waiting a few seconds, then plugging it back in.
If that does not work, try either turning the blanket over OR swapping the controls to the opposite sides, then unplugging it from the wall for a few seconds, and plugging it back in.

Same problem, but now it is ok. I emailed Sunbeam and was told that if my blanket was not plugged directly into a wall outlet it was not getting enough power and I needed to plug it into a wall outlet taking these steps:
1) Unplug from the surge protector/extension cord 2) Unplug from the blanket 3) Plug back into the blanket 4) Plug into a wall outlet

you may have a faulty connection or bined wire on the blanket they do have a switch that shot off for any reason..you can't do anything unless you open it and check
