Don't use it. Contact Cuisinart and they will send you a new blade. The recall is on the blade only.

How do I find out if my Cuisinart blade has been recalled? Model #DLC-7E

The simplest way to check if the DLC-7E blade is one of the recalled blades is to take the blade out and look at it. If there are 4 rivets holding the blades to the stem, it should not be used. For more information, look at https://recall.cuisinart.com/ .

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(The rivets, if present, will visible when you look at the top of the blade where the two sections of the blade go around the stem of the unit.)

What is to be done about recall concerning riveted blade for Cuisinart model DLC-2011 model # 21015K?

You need to contact the manufacturer about this and have your serial number ready when you call them. This site doesn't have recall info for this type of product.

Cuisinart DLC- 8M

Those older Cuisinart food processors have motors that generally last forever. But a replacement bowl can cost $118.00 or more. The newer processors like the DLC-8S do have a 3-year general warranty and a 5-year motor warranty. The new DLC-2011, 2007, 2014 series etc. have 10-year motor warranties. I like the collect the oldies, but the new ones have few problems even though they are made in China. If an old processor's plastic breaks, you have to buy a completely new bowl set - if a new processor's plastic breaks, then you can buy a single component piece to solve the problem. Hope this helps.

I can't get my food processor (DLC-2007N) to start. It looks like everything is locked in place, and the light goes on, but the motor won't start.

Remove the work bowl from the base of the food processor, and separate the bowl, lid, and pusher sleeve.
Plug the base into the wall outlet, turn the food processor ON, and then use a pen to press in the dark grey or black button on top of the base of the food processor - if you hear some kind of noise, then your motor is still good.
Put the work bowl on first, with the handle facing the front of the food processor.
Put the lid on, with the lid lined up with the handle of the work bowl.
Put the pusher sleeve in the lid, with the metal piece facing the front of the processor.
Your processor should now turn on.

If it doesn't call Cuisinart and see if you are still in-warranty (3-year warranty).

Good luck!
