Homelite 2600 Pressure washer stalls while in use

Starts up fine, after a few minutes with the wand engaged, it will act like it wants to stall. If I let off of the trigger, it will regain itself and start the process over again. if it does stall, again for a few minutes, it will run fine, then start to want to stall, I let off of the trigger and most times, it will regain itself. I have run it with a loose gas cap and no gas cap and it does not change the problem. the oil level if almost full and it is on level ground.

Problem appears to be blockage in the main jet or low fuel flow to the carby
clean out the main jet and bowl ( could be water or dirt in the main jet)
check the fuel flow through the tap as they can corrode inside and block the flow or the filter in the tap inside the tank could be blocked

Frank, either the unloader valve is out of adjustment(try loosening it off) or it is faulty and needs rebuilt or replaced as most people do.

I bought a new 2600 psi pressure washer. It starts great. The pressure starts out fine. However, when I disengage the spray nozzle lever and then push it again there is along delay before I get any...

Hi. I think the problem may be called either vapor lock or cavitation, or it could be called something else, but the solution is to take the wand apart in the center and let the trapped water escape, then putting it back together before re-engaging the lever.

Power washer will run fine for about 30 to 40 minutes then stalls, I wait a few minutes and starts but it runs rough and stops.

Sounds like a fuel problem eighter a filter or you have debrie in your fuel tank thats cloging the inlet from the tank to the carburtator . Its that or a problem with the water pump . That could also be clogging and putting exesive back prressure on the engine shaft causeing stalling . What dose your water flow look like do you loose that first before the engine starts to bog down or dose the engine go first and the pressure follow . Also do you winterize the mechine i owen and repair many washers if you need more info you need to give more pier_j

Engine satlling

If it acts like this with the hoses disconnected, I would guess that either you got bad gas, or if it was sitting for a while before this, that there is varnish in the carburetor and when the choke goes off it starves for fuel. I would try Seafoam or Gumout to dissolve it before taking it apart and mechanically cleaning it. If it only does it with the hoses attached, it may be an unloader valve in the unit that is sticking. Good luck.

PWER WASHER RUNS PERFECT, WHEN WATER COMES ON, IT STALLS. BUT IF YOU PULL TRIGGER BACK ON WAND, THEN SPRAYER WORKS. THE MINUTE YOU LET GO OF TRIGGER, IT STALLS OUT.

hi you have got a fault with the unloader it's not unloading so its going a bove the 13amps and knocking the thermol overload out or blowing a fuse you could cable tie the trigger open or get a new unloader kit costing about £70.00 regards

Engine stalls when I release the wand handle (stop water flow from wand).

this is because the pressure is wound up too high ,if you back the pressure off abit you will solve the problem. if your machine has a pressure gauge ,you will be able to see the pressure needle"spike" when you release the trigger.that is the needle jumps right up high that is when motor stalls if you adjust the pressureso that the "spiking" effect is minimal your machine will not stall ,..I hope that helps

Pressure washer stalls out when wand nozzle is released

common for not starting unless trigger engaged as you are turning the pump as well as engine creating pressure,as for stalling pump has unloader valve which is probably in need of grease(use good silicone grease)this allows water to ciculate when trigger released.
