We have a Mastercool II & it was installed ~ 3

We have a Mastercool II evaporative cooler & it was installed ~ 3 years ago. I think we need new filter pads. I measured 40" x 23" & estimate ~ 3-4 inches thick. What pad do I need & where can I find it?

The pads you need are at least 8 inches thick. If you have the contractor model, then the pads will be 12 inches thick.
Find a distributor in your town that sells cooler parts, if they dont have them, some of the big home improvement stores carry the pads for your cooler.
Make sure you are using a bleedoff or a dump pump to eliminate the hard water out of the cooler. If you keep those pads clean, they wiil last for many years.

I have a MasterCool II MC63/64B and the thermostat has gone out. Since MasterCool is out of business, what model/brand would I replace it with.

If you are just running the evaporative cooler any single stage thermostat will suffice. You can buy them at OSH, Home Depot or Lowe's and probably Ace Hardware.

Best way is to get a sheetmetal shop inyour area to make one for you.. Give them the exact size of the opening and then tell them you want a 3/4" flange all the way around and make sure the duct connection is what you need.. Let us know if you need anything else.. please vote.

I have a Mastercool II airconditioner, which is approximately 5 - 7 yrs old. Water has been overflowig from the unit. I believe the float probably needs to be replaced. I have no experience working with...

What you have is an evaporative cooler, it should be serviced every year, but most people can't afford that so they let it go or do it themselves. I don't know if you have ever worked on a toilet before , but your cooler has a float very similar to one in a toilet. More times than not you just need to adjust the float by bending the arm ever so slightly until the water shuts off on it's own. You don't want to bend it too far, it won't get enough water. If this doesn't do the trick you need to get an evaporative cooler float from your local hardware store, they can best tell you how to change it because you will have it visually in hand. Good luck

My husband wants to install a mastercool evaporative cooler in a building that is completely open on one side. We live in AZ.

It will work fine as a spot cooler if he has direct airflow on him, otherwise it wont do much for cooling the building.
