My exhaust silencer fell off and the threads on the block are damaged. Whats the best way to repair it?

Usually, the best thing to do is remove/replace the studs.

have you checked exhaust port and exhaust not carbon up ? rear silencers can clog up or break inside , if you can remove silencer and run up , it will be loud but see if it revs better !

Exhaust leak

exhaust leaks are common, and very dangerous.
if parked say in a snow bank , you can get CO death easy.
odorless and fall asleep (no pain) death.
so keep car out side, and not near snow....
safety first.
first off, i dont know what back means.
the exhaust on most cars runs from front to rear.
from 6 feet to 10 feet.
exhausts can leak for a variety of reasons.
1: bolts fell off.
2: gasket failures
3: cracks.
4 :rust through.
5: parts fell disconnected due to clamp failures.
6: road hazard damaged.

on cars, damage has no limits. (moving running cars)
so what we d,o is have a professional look at it (ASE mech)
to see cause and damage and suggest solutions.

one other way is to take a photo of said damage
or point to crack, in photo and say,
what do you think.
then an only then can a web bunny help you./

Starter mounting bolt has falling out of block on 04 impala

Hi. First you need to try and establish why it came loose if possible. Best solution is to remove the bolt and inspect the bolt threads to see if they look damaged or stripped. If they look ok wind it back in and try to feel if it winds in smoothly and tightens up properly. If it is very tight as you wind it in or slips when tightening then you may have stripped/ damaged threads in the bolt hole. If it goes in and tightens ok then you can pull it back out and put a small drop of thread lock on the tip of the threads(local motorist store will sell it). don't put more than a drop on or next time you need it out you will struggle and finally check the other bolts for the starter. Sounds like your exhaust may have got damaged in collision Check it hasn't been crushed or badly bent. Catlyst converter or silencer may have been damaged. All in all it sounds like a blocked exhaust

Could be that you have blown the piston rings, firstly i would remove the rear silencer, as 2 strokes bellow out exsess smoke and loose power when the silencer becomes blocked due to carbon, start and run the bike and check without the silencer, furthermore to eliminate the exhaust itself is blocked, undo it from the cylinde

My silencer is blowing between the silencer and the link pipe how can i repair it

Remove the silencer and clean up the down pipe and silencer ends. Use a liberal amount of exhaust repair paste and push the silencer back on. Refit the clamp that holds the pipes together and replace any perished rubberised band that may be used. Run the motor on idle for about 10 mins to harden the paste and the leave overnight. Recheck the clamp for tightness and hopefully all should be well with the world, the sun will be shining and you can go for a ride.

Stuck silencer in after market exhaust

It is welded internally, there is no way to get it out as far as I know.

Silencer Damaged

It is fiberglass. You need to replace your exhaust sustem with one designed for your motorcycle. Please see your local dealer for replacement

Water in DEP silencer exhaust

drain your crankcase's oil and check underneath the stator cover, moisture does funny things in there. as for the exhaust just keep running it, maybe the baffle inside cracked up and fell apart a bit inside.
