Question about Premier Mounts Universal Flat Panel Wall Mount for 37"-61" Displays (Non-Tilting) - UFM

1 Answer

Coax problems When I plug in my coax cable from my internet modem into the coax input thing on the wall, it shows I have internet connection, however, I can't open up anything on the internet. Is there a problem with the cable or the coax input thing on the wall?

Just intalled system to new tv. the dvr works but i am not getting a signal

If you're sure everything is connected correctly check your tv input, there is a special input channel for each cable. FOR TV1: RCA: input 1,input2,video 1,video2, if you're using a coax cable: channel 3 or 4. If the problem is on TV 2 you're using a coax cable and it has to be on channel 60 or 73. For a wiring diagram you can visit the official dish website (it's on your bill) & visit the technical support page. This link is for tv1, you will also find the steps for tv2

Not receiving signal

Do you have all connections hand tight? Are you getting an error message on the screen? What type of cable are you using to connect to the TV, Coax or RCA?

If you're not getting an error message what type of cable are you using? If it's a Coax Cable, you will want to make sure the TV is on channel 3 or 4. If you're using an RCA Cable, you will need to check the Input channel.

U-verse will not show on guide plus rca

its not always going to be channel 3, it depends on the input cable you are using, if you are using an HDMI cable you need to switch to the hdmi input, same with component, and if you are using RCA cables it will probably be called video. Try your other inputs dont just stop at channel 3. If you are using coax and its supposed to be on channel 3, make sure you are on the correct coax jack on the receiver, make sure its the "to tv" jack not the "to wall" jack.

Tmy tevion tv needs retuning every few days, what is the proplem?

First check the aerial's cable coaxial(coax) plug/s is/are ok. Poor signal strength can cause this problem - all bad coax connections drop signal strength.

I am transitioning our spare bedroom into a tv room. There is a coax wall plate in the room. I bought a new satellite receiver but do not think the coax wall jack is turned on. I can not get a signal...

1st remove the plate from the wall cheek if there is a coax cable connected to it also make sure the plate is not broken if it is of the printed circuit type. 2nd trace out where the cable goes to most likley into the loft if you are using this to receive sat pictures the this lead will need be to connected to a sat dish or a aerial for tv (free view) if you have to replace any cable use the correct type.

Hi ccraigo
To answer your question;
Your motorola will connect directly(not through the dvd) to the tv set into one of the input ,(preferably using hdmi or component cables for hd) and the dvd will use a different input,
All you have to do then is switch between which one you want to watch.
Hope this help Cheers

Used receiver at different location for 3 months.

Had repair man come. The coax connection going to TV from receiver had went bad in the receiver. The other connectors in box worked but not the coax anymore that is why the box worked on other TV since using video and sound cables. Got new box for signing up for another 18 months with Direct TV. Didn't have to have splitter to just get Satalite so that wasn't the problem at all. Any of the splitters I had would have worked.

How to i hook-up a directv dvr plus to two tv's?

plug one tv using coax (screw in cable). plug the other using composite video cables( yellow, red, white). It will be easy to connect the tv that's the farthest with coax, its cheaper to purchase 50ft of coax vs 50ft of composite video.

I am probably stating the obvious here but here it goes:
If the 625 is connected to the tv using coax directly try using the RCA jacks to connect directly to the tv. If the 625 goes through a peripheral first, eliminate that peripheral and conect directly to the tv.If the problem exists with different media connections still at the same tv you can remove the coax off of the TV1(3-4) output on the back of the 625 and attach it to the TV2(CH60-73) output. You would then change your tv channel from 3 or 4 to ch 60air or 73 cable(which will be the same channel that TV2 is normally on in the remote room without the 625) Once you are on the right channel you will be able to tune TV1 to your local channel using the TV2 remote. If the audio is good here it eliminates the TV coax input on the TV1 and the coax cable connecting it as the source of the problem. You will have already eliminated any other inputs on the same tv as being faulty by using the other connecting media leaving you with the internal components of the receiver as being faulty. In this situation I know of no recourse except the obvious.

New TV hookup

You should have no problem with this. I have provided a picture of your model below for clarification. One end of the coax will attach to the 3-4 OUT on the back of the receiver and the other end will go to the NEW tv's coax input. If your set has two coax inputs you may have to select the port that you connect to in the menu portion of the tv. If the new tv does not have a coax input you can use RCA jacks which are red/white and yellow and connect those to the TV 1 output on the back of the receiver and the other end to one of the inputs on the back of the tv- this will require you to select the input source you connect to again e.g AUDIO 1, AUDIO2 etc. If you have a VCR run the coax from the 3-4 on the back of the receiver to the antenna inon the back of the VCR -usually the top port, then run another coax from the output- bottom port to the coax input on your tv. I hope I have been of some assistance to you and Thanks for using Fix Ya. If I can assist you further please let me know.
