The filter in a Goodman unit is in the Air Handler located at the bottom of the unit. Screw on either side take them loose and the filter pulls out. Now trun of fan first so the filter will come out easier. You may ahve other problems like stopped up coil or low on refrigerant. Russ

your problem could be in your control switch panel itself. pull out the control panel and check the connections with a Probe Light Tester. The following video is for a Volvo but is used here only to give you an understanding of how to remove your A/C Control unit to check for poor circuitry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmCKFx1B4cA

A/c blowing hot air with low pressure

The first thing to do would be go to your local auto parts store and buy an air conditioning recharge kit. Provided your vehicle isn't too old, they sell recharge kits that require no tools.

If their is a leak anywhere while you recharge, you will know.

Try recharging the air conditioning first, it is very simple and the kits come with simple instructions.

If there are no leaks, your A\C will blow cold air again. As for the pressure, if it continues to slightly blow air you may be looking at a new air compressor unit or a vaccum line. A new unit will run you anywhere from $200-$2000 dollars plus labor depending on the vehicle.

If the recharge works, at least you will have slightly blowing cold air rather than hot and you can continue that way until the unit fails.

I have a 2003 toyota corolla. My AC would blow cold air for a min or two then when the compressor shut off it would no longer blow cold air or come back on. A new compressor was put in it but it did not...

the ac clutch relay is the problem. It is located in the under hood fuse box. It is a $10 part. The relay will make a clicking sound when activated but the contacts inside are burnt causing no electrical flow to the ac compressor. Simply unplug and replace. The relay is labeled M/G CLT .

replace or blow out the cabin air filter as well. It is located behind the glove box. Instructions are in your owners manual.

If you were low on freon before, It's possible you have a leak in your system. If you take it back, have them check for the leak before they let you drive off with another freon loss.
Good luck...

Window ac unit is not blowing cold air

When the unit is running, go outside and put your hand near the condenser fins, this air that comes out should be slightly warmer than the ambient temp. If it is not you will need to take the unit out of the window and out of its outer case and clean the condenser fins from the inside, this is no easy task as it is very hard to reach. You will want to get a small (toothbrushed sized) brass bristled brush with a long handle. Make sure the evaporator coil (in the front) recieves the same attention and wash the mesh filter that goes in front of the evaporator. Re- assemble and enjoy the cold air.

My air conditioner doesnt blow cold air turns on and blows but the air flow seems to be only a little house gets hotter and muggy

This is most commonly cause by a lack of freon in the system. Unfortunately, the only solution to that is to call your local A/C company and have a certified technician come and charge your system. The reason you need to call a professional is because you need a special license to handle the type of freon your system runs on.

This could also be cause by a dirty air filter.

Check the air filter to see if that's it. If it isn't, you need to call a service tech.

Sometimes it blows cold, sometimes it doesnt.

The coils that are located right behind the filter need to be cleaned extremely well. You can purchase a spray from your local hardware dealer that can clean the coils. Also, rinse the fins at the back side of the unit as well. Dirty units can cause this to happen. If you clean it and it continues, you have developed a refrigerant leak. Since window units are so inexpensive today, it is not cost effective to hire someone to come out and find and repair it. Hope this is of help to you.
