Question about Washing Machines
It should be automatic if your machine is plumbed in correctly, if it is not plumbed in a hose, supplied with the machine, should be connected to the cold kitchen tap to top up the machine when required.

Testimonial: "The answer is, of course, based on the way I asked it, and could be a good answer in some circumstances, I imagine. However, that would be the wrong thing to do for my LG washer/dryer, which uses the water to make steam with which it dries. That can't be added by me; it has to be introduced via plumbing. Anyway, thanks for trying and no harm done -- it's supposedly now doing what it should automatically."
