You may have a bad timer (under the knob) the main control unit.
If you can remove the timer by removing the plastic cover and check the timers contacts, if they are burnt or broken then replace the timer. If you cannot access the inside of the still may be needed to be replaced.
if the motor only runs for a few seconds, and then shuts down the usual problem is the motor overloading and shutting down.

This sounds serious. you may want to call Maytag and have there people check out the machine.

Please don't forget to rate me as fixya..

SOURCE: Breadman Pro TR875 won't start properly.

I believe whoever sold it on eBay did so for a's broken. I just bought a Breadman Pro at Linens n Things for 79.99 with the 20% off coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond (those two stores are interchangeable) and I have NO problem turning it on and have successfully baked several loaves of bread without incident. I'd suggest going and buying a new one. Sorry.....

SOURCE: Display scramled, light works, timer counts down but unit doesnt

We regularly repair such control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week or so with a one-year guarantee.

Assuming your model number is DMT2420 (since that's the category under which your query was posted) then you likely also need a new secondary interlock (bottom door switch).

Door switch or mount trouble is usually caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

If you have a different model, please reply back or contact me directly with the correct model.

If you want to send your control panel assembly in for repair, you can note on the repair form that you need a new door switch and we'll throw one in at no charge.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

SOURCE: B1561 All in one will not start

Our old Black & Decker had to "warm up" for half an hour after pressing start before anything happened in the pan. Check your owners' manual to see if the program you selected has a half hour warm up before mixing starts. For the model we had, dough took 2 hours, instead of 1 1/2 hours in our previous breadmaker.

Why don't you ask the doctor? It is 38-40 weeks from conception. You are probably counting from December 9, 2016. Congratulations!

Warm up time

Many bread machines don't start kneading right away. That is especially true for the whole wheat cycle. Some bread machines take up to 1/2 hour of gentle warm-up of the heating element before the machine begins to mix and knead. Also, I have written a novella of myth, suspense, and
mystery........ just Google my full author name:

The story is set in a small town near Taos, New Mexico. The famous Taos hum has stopped. The local populace is unaware this ancient
geological phenomena serves as the time clock for a dark inhuman terror. The cessation of the hum triggers their
emergence. They have returned to seek prey for a terrifying purpose. Their prey is us. Little Emily Wilson knows that. Her mother is missing. No bad language, no Human-on-human

That's a serious issue you have there. I recommend you take it to your local service center:

Carry-in or mail-in service in the USA can be obtained during the warranty period by contacting a Panasonic Services Company (PASC) Factory Servicenter listed in the Servicenter Directory. Or call toll free 1-800-211-7262 to locate a PASC Authorized Servicenter. Carry-in or mail-in service in Puerto Rico can be obtained during the warranty period by calling the local Panasonic Sales Company telephone number listed in the Servicenter Directory.

Hope this helps.

Put in all the ingredients and presssed the start button counting down but nothing is happening

More details would help troubleshooting. For example, are you sure the machine has power (is the LCD display working? Is the light above the on off push button on?). The circuit breaker for the outlet it's plugged into (it is plugged in fully, right?) may have tripped, for example.

I have the Panasonic Breadmaker SD255 (5 stars) and just yesterday evening I made the `Banana and Walnut loaf' - 'Bake only' (45mininues). After the 45 minutes I pressed Start/Stop and checked my loaf and...

Hi, you are choosing the wrong program when you push start/stop. You need to either just add another 10 minute to the timer or choose the bake program again and add time to the timer. Hope that makes sense. once you push stop and then push start it defaults to the basic program and it is going to tell you the chamber is too hot. If your dough was risen and ready to bake you need to stay on the Bake program and add time in 10 minute increments until passes the "toothpick" test.

There may be nothing wrong. 4 hours is probably the length of the bread program you chose. All bread machines do that. After about 15 minutes your machine should start the kneading process with a slow pulsing mix. Some machines and programs don't do anything for the first 15-20 minutes. Whole wheat recipes especially have a built in delay before any kneading begins.

I would have thought so, I have an older model than this (the 206) but it has a general manual for the instructions / recipes. They're pretty simple to use, but always put the ingredients in the order they are listed - e.g. yeast, flour, dry ingredients, then liquid. This stops the water from spoiling the yeast.

I can't choose anything.

To reset the unit, hold the Start/Stop button down until the screen goes completely blank, then go back and press Select to start your program again.
