Find out if I owe you any money, and how much?
To see your account activity so that you can investigate charges and credits on your account, first log into PayPal. You may at this point encounter an advertisement. Just skip it or select go to summary page. You should at this time see you current cycles activity, if not look for the summary option toward the top left of the page and click it. Now that you are on your summary page you should see a list of your current account activity on the right side of the page just down from the top. There you will find a list of the names, dates, amounts, types and categories. You can at this time click on one of the transaction lines and it will open up to reveal more detailed information. In the upper right hand corner of current transactions list you will find a ">", click it and it will expand the current transactions list and will now say "statements" with a tiny down triangle next to it. Click the word "statements" then click "account statements (PDF)";. In the resulting page look for your last statement which will be the top option in the collum to the left, click it and a copy of your last months statement will download to your computer. You will need to have a PDF reader installed if you don't already have one. You can google "PDF readers" for links to downloads and instructions if you need to install one. Browse in your file explorer to find the download and open it by double clicking it. If it doesn't open automatically and you have a PDF reader installed on your computer, your computer may ask you which program to open the file with and provide you with some options. Select your option and click to use it. when your statement opens up find and jot down the statements start date. Go back to the tab that you have PayPal open on and click summary then click the ">" on the top right of the current transactions list again and this time find where it says "start" on the upper left off the page, click the calendar icon and use the tool to select the start date of your last statement, then make sure the end date next to it reads the current date, if not then use that tool to correct that. The PayPal page should have already started searching and loading all of the transactions within the date range. When it finishes you should have enough of your transactions to figure out what's going on. Click the detailed icon on the upper right hand of the page and the listed information will include your running balance after each transaction. You will then be able to see your current balance and backtrack it to the one that caused the odd balance on your account. You can then call (888) 221-1161 and contend customer service as to what they are going to do to fix the situation.
