Screen has gone. find a stand alone screen and use the VGA plug.Once connected, hold down the Fn button on the computer keyboard and press F3 once or twice and your computer with show on the spare screen. Repair will be about 200 quid.
You or someone may have hit the F7 function key. This turns on and off the screen/monitor. Press the key once, and see if it comes on. If after pressing the key once, it still does not come on, then try rebooting the PC and see what happens.
I would start the pc in safe mode and see if it displays the images then. To do this, Shut down the pc, when it is booting up, tap the F8 button once every 3 seconds until you see the list of advanced start up options. Choose Safe Mode, you can choose network support or just the regular. If this works, I would then say it is a display resolution issue. Try changing the resolution in safe mode to something basic. Once you get to your desktop, right click on any empty space and select properties, then choose the Display tab. Move the slider over to the left until it says 800x640, click apply. Once you do that, you will see a box with a timer counting down. If you can see this ok, click ok, if all you see is a black screen, just wait for 25 seconds until the screen comes back. Reboot the computer and see if you can get to your desktop.
Reboot the computer and keep pressing F8 till you see the advanced start-up options screen. Once it appears choose Safe-mode. When XP loads, click Start-> Control Panel and remove the software that you have installed. That should get your notebook back to working mode. Once its done let me know and we will deal with the bluetooth.
Isolate the problem. Connect the problem monitor into different computer. If the problem monitor worked on another computer, try connecting a CRT monitor to the problem computer. Once the display comes back, change the screen resolution.
