Thermador oven problems

My Thermador was working fine last week and I went to turn it on and it would not. The display reads "OFF" and there seems to be no way to turn it on...
Any suggestions?

Re: Thermador oven problems

Greetings, this JUST happened to me.

The solution was to break the circuit at the breaker panel for 1 minute, reset the clock, and the unit seems to work now.

We've had the same problem. I contacted a local sales room and they contacted their rep who promptly mailed the replacement parts I requested (I'd looked up the part numbers already). Now I'm waiting to find someone who will reasonably do the work.

Sometimes, you can reset the panel by turning off the circuit breakers. Look for a linked pair of 40-50 amperes. Turn them off then on. If this doesn't fix it, you will need to change the circuit board...first things first, though.

Thermador sm272zs microwave/oven combo

Woke up this morning and heard my smw272 built-in oven beeping. Oh no! First the display (but at least the oven worked) now the oven is beeping (fault signal according to manual) and the thing is dead except for the microwave and warming bin. The only way to turn off the incessant beeping--which was driving me crazy--was to go outside to the fuse box and turn off the circuit to the oven. Yeah, I stopped the beeping but now I'm at the mercy of the unscrupulous service repairman--was quoted a flat fee to drive out and a hefty hourly rate (i.e., "value added" service charge). OUCH! Hey folks, please follow my simple advice if you want to avoid making a big mistake: NO MORE THERMADORS. RUN--DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS BRAND!!!
