Question about Canon imagePROGRAF iPF8400 44in Printer

1 Answer

My Canon iPF8400S displays a hardware error 03130031-2F4D message. What does it mean?

When this happens, usually in a middle of a print job, I turn off the printer and turn it back on, it will work again for a while, but print speed is much slower than normal. What can I do to get this fixed?

Hi
"VHT leak detection error of left printhead,
in case of VHT exceeds rated value or falls
below the rated value."
So, error shows left printhead feeding voltage problem. It can be result of fault:
-printhead;
-Carriage relay board;
-flexible cable
-main controller.
Low speed of printing can be when printhead have overrange with it temperature; and when printing, printer makes a pauses to cold printhead. More information you can get from file PRINT INF under SERVICE MODE.
If you are a "ordinary user", looks like you can only try to change left printhead (success not guaranted!).

Thank you for your help. I replaced the left printhead and that appears to solve the issue (problem hasn't returned for 2 days).

HP2100, I get the furthest forward light and the error light on simultaneously and constantly, only way to fix it is to turn the printer off then on again and it starts printing again. Sometimes happens...

reseat the JetDirect card, with power off(of course).
The book says that printer has an I/O error - bad connection.
Turn printer off and reseat card
Power on and press GO to continue printing

One line at top of page it's not what I was wanting to print. Reads like 199v-?=l?n.)?= and so on any help

Stuff like this happens sometimes when you have a bad connection or if the print job is interrupted in the middle by the user cancelling it or a problem on the pc. I would check the cable to make sure that it is securely plugged in and retry it. You didn't say if this problem was recurring or not. If not, just try printing again. Let us know if this happens consistently. Good luck!

How to delete past jobs?

This is the method to delete print jobs in the Queue by Microsoft.
If this is not working, then try this method.
Press Winkey+r
In the run dialog write msconfig
An other dialog-box will appear, there you will see many tabs (Click Services)
In the list find "Print Spooler" (UNCHECK it)
Click Apply,
Restart Your PC, and turn on the service again by Checking it (It may Start Automatically)
Another Method:
Open your C:\ Driver
Goto Windows folder
Then System32 folder
Goto spool folder
In the spool folder there will be a folder named PRINTERS
Delete all the files in that Folder.
You are done.
Hopefully, one of them will work, Best of Luck.
Regards,
Waqar.

7310 wont print

u have to clear the sent job, go to printers and faxes through your start menu, if u cant find it there, go to control panel, double click on the printer and faxes icon, on the pop up window, double click to open the printer then select all the jobs and empty the box, then you can start using again, make sure the printer is off while doing that.

Set powermode "allways on" for the lap top. Use an Usb cable no longer then 2 m. Try upgrade firmware for the printer. If still got problem use a powered usb hub between laptop and printer.

Printer not working properly

The DeskJet printers are notorious for this problem. When you turn the printer off and back on in the middle of a print job, it gets confused when it is back on and cannot interpret the print language when it resumes from the computer. Whenever this happens in the future, you need to delete the print job off your pc before turning the printer back on. If you have windows XP, click START, SETTINGS, PRINTERS&FAXES, then double-click on your printer icon. When the queue window comes up, right-click on the active print job, select DELETE, then reply YES to confirm. If you don't see the print job delete (it might take a minute or so), then you will have to stop/start your Windows print spooler. Go to START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL. Double-click the ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS icon. Double-click the SERVICES icon. Scroll down and locate PRINT SPOOLER. Right-click on it and select STOP. Wait about 10 seconds, then right-click on it again and select START. Close out of the SERVICES & CONTROL PANEL windows. Open your printer status window again and see if it is clear. Once it is clear, it will be safe to turn your printer back on. Hope this helps.
