SOURCE: Stopped working

I had a similar problem with a jvc 8040. when I replaced the fuse it became very obvious that the b1560 output on the center channel was blown (smoke and sparks, always a dead giveaway). I haven't fixed the center channel yet but simply unplugged the center channel board and removed it from the unit. Now everything works fine except of course the center channel. Pre outs still operate just fine so a slave amp could be used for center channel power, or you could just go and buy a marantz amp; I did and then I realized that I was lucky that the old jvc quit.

Hi kamil. Mo medenom, nomogom! I think problem isn't in power supply. It should be in control board (madaar-e farmaan). Hossain Shahidzadeh

My FB163 goes back to "standby" mode after 20seconds when i turn it ON.Please Help?

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

The AV amplifier cannot be switched on by pressing the Switch-on button. It just shows a blue light and goes back to standby mode with a clicking sound (a relay failing to energise)?

I would check the capacitors. If any have raised rounded tops then they are blown and will need replaced with the same value. Attached is a photo of blown capacitors. The ones on the right are blown and bottom left appear to be ok

Samsung le23r86wd wont turn on after capacitor changed

Did you change all the capacitors on the power supply section? There are usually 4 or 5 caps that are used in this section.

I recently bought a 100uf 450v capacitor to replace a 68uf 450v capacitor. Unfortunately there is no power being fed to the TV when plugged in. I was told by a local TV repairman that the uf rating...

The fault to your TV might not due to a defective capacitor. A higher capacitance valued capacitor, won't do nothing wrong. But as the capacitance value increases, the size of the capacitor will too increase. That's all. Check the fuse at the power supply regulator board. If it is found opened, make sure that something wrong with the power supply regulator board. Without rectifying the fault, never replace a fuse, as it will make things worse. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

E50 code dryer stops

E50 code is for a motor issue or main PCB fault on the motor output side (also called E51 when the triac that is on the main control board normally shorts out due to a faulty motor).

Not easy to diagnose as a diy job, but you need to find out if the drum rotates correctly when fully loaded. Could check this CODE LIST

Hope this helps.

MODEL DLT37C3 KEEPS TURNING ITSELF TO STANDBY WHEN

Mine did this to. Opened up the back cover, the power circuit board is clearly visible, on it is a HUGE electrolytical capacitor 26mm in height x 35mm in diameter 150uF 450V. Changing this for a new was the cure for me. Might work for you as well! Please be careful, the capacitor can hold a high voltage even after power is off and cable removed, make sure to remove the powercord! If unsure ask someone that can solder to do it.

You will need a soldering iron (quite powerful) and some solder to change it.

My ViewsonicVP930b Monitor Suddenly Turns Off

This is a classic VP930 problem.

It is caused by bad capacitors in the power supply circuit.

Open the monitor, and look at the power board. There are six capacitors. Replace the 220uF @ 25V and the 1000uF @ 16V capacitors. I would recommend replacing them with 35V and 25V capacitors respectively.

If the serial number on your monitor starts with Q8H you could also have a bad IC on the main board. Q8 on the main board is an FET in an IC package. If this problem persists solder a wire from the right side to the left side. There is one pin that turns the IC on and off. All the other pins (per side) are soldered together. Do not solder the pin on the left side that is by itself. Just leave it. Solder ALL the other pins on the left to ALL the other pins on the right.

Remember, do this ONLY if the problem persists after replacing the capacitors AND if your serial number starts with Q8H.

SHARP 29" TV switching off to Standby

have you tried changing the batteries just to elimate this problem

change them

sometimes if the batteries are low in electronic devies, they send a wek signal to its receiver (your tv),

your tv gets confused and then switches itself to standby

if you have changed the batteries and this problem still persists

it can only then be th PSU or power supply unit, take it to your local tv repair shop of mastercare somewhere like that, its going to be cheaper to get it repaired than replacing the whole tv

PSU'S generally 20 to 50 pounds depending on model

don't deo it yourself though unless you've got a capacitor discharger (or a nice 25KV will be on its way to your body)

hop this helps mate, let me know how you get on
