SOURCE: bracket for door broke need

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

FixYa is sorry but this Forum does not supply parts, part numbers, prices or other details direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web. Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained on many makes and models, probably over many years ;-0)

Spares Suppliers
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer spares' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can order. Alternately you could try telephone directories for spares suppliers but I would think the former would be more successful.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C.

Change the door swings

Many refrigerator (especially the really old ones) have universal hindges. Check the top of your fridge if there are nut holes in the opposite side of the door hindge. These holes should corrispond to the same bolt/screw holes used on the hindge side. If so then you can remove the door by first removing the bottom hinge bolts. Have another person hold on the door and remove the top bolts. You only need to remove the bolts that go into the main body of the fridge. Put the door down on a table or flat surface and remove the rest of the hindges. Keep track of the bolts as they may differ from the ones in the fridge. Remove any screw caps/covers from the other side of door and use them to cover the old screw holes. Switch the hindge to the opposite side of the door and secure. Lift the door in place and remount the hindges to the opposite side of the old hindge mounts. Secure and check closure. There should be enough play in the hindge mounts to adjust for a good close. Tighten and cover all screws and openings with the old covers.
Note: If you can't get a good seal then check the gaskets for warping. You may need to replace them if they are too deformed.
* Check your warranty. You may have a tech come out and check everything. Perform annual maintenance and have the gaskets changed out. You can also have them change the door to swing out the other way since they have to remove the door to change the gaskets anyway.

turn the allen screws one is under the hindge side of freezer door and one is under fridge hindge side of door turn counter clockwise be carefull turn to far the adjustment screw will come out of the wheel adjustment bracket.also try having someone tilt refrigator back by pushing top of refrigator then turning the two white adjustment screws in same area of allen screw this adjust the front of the refrigator you may want to adjust the front adjustment so the refrigator is slightly tilted to the back this will help close the doors.

How do i put the oven door back on after i removed it to obtain measurements. now i can not get the door back on

I had the same problem today I found that you have to extend the hindge enough to have the lock tabs lock into the door to hold the hindge in the extend mode. If the tabs are not back in the door it will continue to snap back. After you lay the door in place be sure to extend the lock tabs back up into the oven side towards the pins that you hindge lay on. I had extensive front right side damage due to a accident, the good news is that I was able to get the parts I needed at a fairly reasonable price from LKQ (aftermarket), however I'm a single mom trying to...

the hood is made of a pretty flexible Aluminum alloy, should be fairly easy to bend back, if there arent any creases. And the Hood Brackets are pretty simple to bend back, because they are made of a pretty maliable metal as well, you can probably use a hammer and wood block to bend it back. good luck, and dont bungee the hood any more!
