How do i use a vivitar 650/1300 lens w my d5000

This lens lacks the electronics to communicate with the camera. You need to switch the camera to manual exposure mode (turn the mode dial to the "M" position).

You won't get any help from the camera's exposure meter. You can review the picture and use the histogram to fine-tune the exposure.

Please help me to use Vivitar 650 - 1300 MM lens

The lens does not have the electronics to communicate with the camera. You must set the camera to the Manual exposure mode (turn the mode dial to M). You set the shutter speed by turning the command dial on the back of the camera. You set the aperture by turning the aperture ring on the lens. You get no exposure help from the camera's exposure meter.

Noed help to USe Vivitar 650 - 1300

You have to use the Manual exposure mode (turn the mode dial to M). You get no help from the camera's light meter.

You can meter the scene with a separate light meter, or put a different lens on the D90 to get an approximate exposure. Take the shot, look at it on the LCD screen, and adjust.

Vivitar lens to Pentax K-x camera adapter.

It depends which camera they were originally designed for use upon. If they are M42 lenses, then yes, but without any automatic facilities whatsoever - if not, then it is unlikely.

If the Vivitar has an FD mount for older Canons, then no, you'll need an adapter ring to convert the lens. They are available on sites like ebay

M (Manual).

You won't get autofocus, nor will you get any metering. It's completely manual.

Yes and yes. Bear in mind that not all features may work. You probably won't get autofocus or metering with the Nikon D90, for example.

Try their support pages (I didn't check to see if they had manuals. The website was running very slow)

Vivitar 75-300mm lens

The Vivitar brand has been bought and sold quite a few times in the past 10 years.

KEH Camera has quite a few used Vivitar lenses listed on their website. They are priced very low, from just $4 to $49, so it's highly unlikely that the lens is worth repairing.
