Question about Vizio Televison & Video
My wife was watching TV and she heard a loud popping noise. She said that it sounded like a firecracker. Approximately 1 minute later the TV stopped working. With the TV power off the orange VIZIO light is no longer illuminated. When the TV power is turned on no relays turn on. I opened the back panel to look at the power supply P/N DPS-280LP A. There is no visual damage to the capacitors, fets or any other components. The fuse is good. There is no DCV at the 5V, 12V and 24V pins on the connector. I tried to measure with the connectors installed and uninstalled. I could not find a replacement power supply but shop Jimmy has a power supply repair kit with transistors, capacitors and ICs. Is this a legitimate fix or should I check other PCBs and what should I look for?
