Nexxtech 3-1 Universal adapter with 2 USB ports . I inserted my USB cord and the area around it lit up with a red glow .Is this normal?

Need help with Nexxtech usb to hdmi adapter model 1511217 manufactures number AN2800D2


None of the six previous "suggested solutions" have ANYTHING to do with "Nexxtech usb to hdmi adapter model 1511217". WTF????

Usb port hub does not recognize external hard drive

First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:


Click "Start" button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the "Search" bar and press "Enter". Click "Continue" if necessary.



In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".



Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".



Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X


you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers


if you can see your usb but its not working

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver


sometimes the wires inside the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy equipment upon the cable


just replace the cable of the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work fine again,



if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem


check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts


if this fails to fix the problem

I got a new transcend USB jetflash drive 16GB, but my system not showing any response towards it, what shall i do..??? is to download a software for it...??


Flash drives do not need a drivers (plug and play). There are several possibilities:

1. Assumptions: USB port error, computer drivers normal, normal flash drive.
Solution: insert a flash drive into another USB port. If the USB port 1 is not detected, insert flash drive into a USB 2, USB 3 or USB 4.
2. Assumption: normal USB ports, computer driver error, a normal flash drive
Solution: reinstall the chipset drivers, or USB.
3. Assumption: normal USB port,
computer driver normal, flash drive is broken
Solution: try to insert the flash drive into another computer. If the flash drive is not detected, it means your flash drive is damaged.

Solution to determine the cause of damage:
1. If you have a USB mouse, use the mouse to check the damage to the USB port. Example: connect the mouse to the USB 1, USB 2, USB 3 or USB 4. If every USB port, mouse is detected, the conclusion normal USB port
2. To check your computer's drivers, right-click My Computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager

3. If points 1 and 2 are normal, the possibility of flash drive damaged.
Because the new flash drive, flash drive is most likely normal. Based on experience, cause damage to the flash drive is a USB port is dirty. The USB port is dirty, can cause short-circuit flash drive. The characteristics of short-circuit flash drive. When inserted into a USB flash drive (about 5 seconds), the temperature of the flash drive become extremely hot. I HAVE A NEXXTECH MODEL;NWKBMCB . WIRELESS MOUSE. I DONT HAVE A DISC WHAT DO I DO?


This will help you in your problem. 1. Turn on your pc 2. Installed the Mouse Driver on your system pc. (NOTE! if it has a CD or DVD Disk included on it ). (But if the product don't have a CD or DVD disk, you can proceed to the 3rd step.3. Plug the receiver to the USB port on your system unit.
4. Plug the battery to the mouse. (follow the instruction for the the battery. cause it contain + sign and - negative sign.
5. After doing the procedure from 1 to 4.
6. Restart your PC (cause some of the system unit need to be restart the system in order to recognize the fresh hardware plug on it).
7. Your Done

Wireless card keeps switching off


1.Try changing the USB extender cord
2.Try avoiding the USB extender
3.Try different USB ports on the computer
4.Uninstall the drivers and re-install them

The 4th step is carried out by:
Go to device manager or system profiler (Apple Mac)
Try to find a catagory--Network Adapters
Click on the "+" sign before it
You will now see 2 or 3 items listed. Make sure that your devices are here.
Right click on wireless adapter(whichever is yours), select Uninstall.
Now, unplug the wireless adapter after uninstallation is complete.
Insert the CD and try searching for drivers files... and walk -through the setup process

There is a port for the a/c adapter on the bottom side where the USB ports are.

Looks like its supposed to come w/ an A/C power cord

Laptop keeps shutting off,battery is not on electric cord is connecting.. cord has a slight buzzing from the square is this normal..and i cannot use my usb ports


"Buzzing" from the brick generally means the fields are breaking down. This could also cause a problem to the main board.

Sometimes Radio Shack has the IGO Universal on sale, I paid $28.95 for mine with 8 different tips.

As far as the USB, the northbridge chipset should be updated, google the north bridge after installation and running

Also if the USB's bus is not operating, check the pcmcia card bus, if you install a wireless card or cardbus usb adapter and it hangs you have a motherboard chip issue.
