Heating element, REALLY? Your gas furnace has high temp limits around the burners, heat exchanger, and probably the blower also. The little switches have 2 wires connected to it, and a small reset between the wires. Should have a little red dot/color on the push button that resets. I'd suggest calling a professional.

SOURCE: I have a Rheem Classic Series Super Quiet 80 gas

Sounds like it could be a dirty or bad flame sensor.
When the burner lights ,there is a flame sensor in the flame and it is suppose to sense the flame and send a signal back to the control board which will keep the gas valve open, if it gets dirty or is bad it doesn't send the signal back to the board and the board will shut the gas valve off and after three tries it will lock out the furnace and you have to reset it to get it to work again.
The flame sensor looks like a wire and it's in the flame usually it will get gas deposits on it, then it won't work.
You can clean this sensor with an extra fine piece of steel wool, but before you attempt to do this DISCONNECT ALL POWER TO THE FURNACE.

SOURCE: i have a rheem classic

no just repalce all the covers and then cycle to power to the unit and it should take off and aware that the t-stat could take five minutes or so to recycle and star the unit also..

How do I open the Rheem Super Quiet 80 to access filters?

You must pull the top door off first for it sits on the bottom then remove the lower door and the filter should sit underneath the blower housing, push in and pull up on the wire filter snap being careful not to unhook it in the back of the air handler cabinet, then remove the filter, to re-install follow removal in reverse.

Hi, I ahve a Rheem Classic Plus Series SUper Quiet 80 Unit and no air is blowing thru the vents but the inside/outside units kick on? can you help?

Is the inside fan running? If it is then check your air filter. If it isn't, turn off power to the inside unit and see if the fan turns freely by hand. Next check the capacitor for the indoor fan. Does the fan on this unit connect to a circuit board? Set the thermostat to make the air come on and check for power where the fast speed wire connects to the circuit board and neutral. If it's not there, the circuit board is probably bad. You can look at the back side of the board to see if any traces are burnt off. Let me know what you find.

Open the two side panels. The filter is at the bottom held down with a wire spring. Release the spring and the filter can be removed.

Sounds like there is a crack in the vent that leads to the drivers side, and hot air from the engine is leaking through.
