Hi,

Resetting involves reprogramming, but that's easy to do. You probably have a cheat sheet, like I do.

Unplug the timer, remove the battery, and go have a cold drink (let it sit for about 10 minutes. Reinstall the battery, plug it back in and you are good to go. Reprogram.

You should have been saved by your battery, unless it was already dead. Replace the 9v. battery if it is questionable, and check the little icons on the screen (you may need a magnifying glass to see them), to make sure that the battery backup and the AC power are both on.
The re-programming is pretty straightforward. What will help is to generate yourself a chart showing what program(s) that you are using, what each station waters and how long each is set to run. That way, if all goes afoul, and you have your chart posted near the timer, reprogramming is a snap. Other info helpful for a chart like this is the location of the control valve, and the wiring colors used. I bought a cheap set of stencils and numbered the control boxes; this made it simpler whenever I needed to check or manually test a station.
    Best regards, --W/D--

Website:

Timer has 4 year warranty

The manual has troubleshooting

Looking through the manual I can see potential trouble areas:
-Water pressure too high > 60 psi is ordinary household pressure > order Brady BTG pressure gauge that connects to hose
-Overlapping times are 'stacked' by timer ... but 'more than one start time' is listed as cause of stations turning on when not supposed to >> reset and re-program timer, make chart of on-off times
-Weak or missing AA batteries >> clean terminal inside timer and replace batteries
-Hard water deposits or unfiltered water clogging water valve (water softeners frequently have this problem) >>> see if vinegar or CLR cleaner can help flush water valve >>> add sediment filter in front of timer
-Look at screen > does display show Manual? As in manual mode2322052.jpg
-Fuse blown
-Bad solenoid
-A combination of problems listed above with sediment -or- solenoid as main suspects

Make sure that the transformer is supplying the 26 volts ac required by the pump relay and zone solenoids. If the voltage is there and unit still will not operate then the electronics are to blame.

I don't feel you can repair system by yourself. Excuse me if you can; so do it.
You should take it to an authorized Rain Bird repair service. Look for it on some listing they might have given you when you bought your stuff or contact them from here:

System quit watering. Tried man/adv and won't energize sprinkler valves. I can operate sprinkler valves manually. Tried unplugging power source to reset. Any suggestions?

Most sprinkler valves run on electricity from the timer. If the time doesn't send electricity out, the valves don't open. If an animal has chewed through a wire, that valve won't open.
You can take a meter and check the voltage on the wire at the timer. If nothing, replace timer.
If you get correct voltage at timer, measure at valve. if voltage good there, replace valve.

Rainbird 4TM says NO PWR

Depends if it is a indoor or outdoor timer. If it is indoor you can easily find a 24V transformer at the local hardware store. If it is a indoor timer the transformer is usually not worth trying to purchase as it will be a manufacturer item usually costing almost as much as a new timer. Replace the timer.

There is no such thing as a impact rotor. It's one or the other. If it's a impact replace it with a rotor.
