Kenmore refrigerator 106-72862 101 ice/frost build up at drain hole in freezer for every 2-3 months

take a wire clothes hanger and cut it to about 3-4 inches wrap it around the defrost element and run it into the drain hole . make sure that the line is free of debris as well . use a turkey baster to push VERY hot water down the hole.

I have a kenmore model 106 side by side and after changing water filter I have no water and no ice

Check water volume at wall cutoff
Did you install the filter backwards?
If it is an inline filter in the back you can install it wrong way.
Check for kink in water line in back
If this was helpful please rate me.

Hi!!! You could have a plugged drain line. Open your freezer door and remove the bottom tray and look to see if you have ice on the bottom if you do then its a frozen drain line get a hair dryer and and apply heat to the bac evaporator fins and all the ice..sometimes also some sxs refrigerator model leak a small amount of water right after you use it..Good luckk..

Kenmore

sounds like your freezer isn't freezing lift up the wire arm on the ice maker to shut it off then put your finger where the ice cubes should be and if the water isn't frozen you may have a cooling problem listen to see if you hear the freezer fan running then look at the bottom of the freezer at the back wall where the vents are and see if they are blocked with frost and reply to me

Please help

Are you installing a ice maker kit? If the ice maker is already installed all you have to do is connect it to the potable water supply in the back of the refrigerator and lower the bail arm to put it into operation.
