Any thermometer will work as the process is always the same for any yogurt maker. You want to heat the milk up to 180 degrees and the let it cool down to 110-115 degrees and add the starter then pour into the cups and then the machine keeps the yogurt at the correct temp for it to ferment. A specific yogurt thermometer is just a regular thermometer with marks on it for 180 degrees and 110-115 degrees.
