I have a Brother Model LX2500 It is threaded correctly and the bobbin is full. It moves as if it is stitching, but it is not stitching the material..all of the parts move as they should

My machine was working fine then all at once,it stopped stitching. the needle moves as it should, and the bobbin is moving but it is not making any stitch in the material

Make sure your needle is facing the correct direction and all the way in. Otherwise it is the hook to needle clearance or the timing that is off. With the needle all the way up the hook should be at "2o'clock. If that is correct turn the hand wheel until the needle is all the way down then bring it up until the hook tip is right behind the needle (you will have to take the Needle plate off to see), and gently press the needle into the hook making sure you don't deflect it to the side as you push. it should be as close as possible without touching. Also take this opportunity to make sure the hook tip is passing higher than the eye of the needle.

I have a Brother JX2517. I went to mend something...and at first the knob was turning the parts inside correctly. However, after refilling a bobbin, the knob didn't connect, the hook wouldn't move.

Make sure the bobbin thread is comming off the bobbin in the correct direction. Usually clock wise. If it is not, the machine will not stitch, or will tangle the thread.

I have a Brother PR-650. When machine starts to sew the first stitch, Thread comes out at the top usuall sticking up about a half an inch. What can I do to avoid this

When threading the top thread, ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot. This releases the tension disk so the thread will seat properly. Be sure the thread path is correct and that you have pulled at least 4-6" of thread tail through the needle before taking the first stitch. Begin the first stitch with the take-up lever at it's highest point. Begin sewing slowly--even hand-rotating the handwheel through the first stitch may help. Gently hold the top and bobbin thread tails in your left hand while taking the first stitch to prevent the thread from pulling backward.

Pulling the bobbin thread to the top of the fabric is also beneficial.

My brother vx-1120 needle wont pick up bobbin thread to make a continuous stitch

Install a brand new needle. Make sure it is installed correctly.

Remove the bobbin/bobbin case from the machine. Check that the bobbin is turning the correct direction and the bobbin tension is threaded correctly. Reinstall the bobbin case and confirm that it is latched into place.

Retest your machine. Slowly turn the handwheel and watch the needle descend and see if it picks up the bobbin thread. If not, then there is probably a sewing machine timing issue. Take it for service.

If it is creating a thread mess (thread nest) under the fabric, either the machine is not threaded correctly or you have forgotten to lower the presser foot before beginning to stitch.

Make sure you are starting with a brand new needle!

Remove all the thread from the machine.

Check that the bobbin thread is smoothly wound onto the bobbin and that the bobbin is inserted and thread properly in the machine.

ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread the upper thread. Check that the thread path is correct.

Set the upper tension to the midway point on the dial--this is usually the factory setting but may alter over time with use. Once you get your machine stitching without a mess, you can gently alter the upper tension until the two threads meet in the middle of the fabric.

Remember to lower the presser foot before beginning to stitch.

It also helps to pull the bobbin thread up to the top of the fabric and either wrapping both thread tails around a finger on the left hand or gently holding the thread tails between the left index finger and thumb. Then SLOWLY begin stitching.

I have a brother lx 2500 sewing machine and when it jamed i opened up the bobbin area and cleaned everything but now having problems getting the casing back in

Use a mirror and make sure that the area is perfectly clean and there are no obstructions. Then make sure that the needle is all the way up to the top of its cycle and then insert the bobbin.

Needle does not reach bobbin to to pull bobbin thread on surface

Sewing machine needles are specific to each model. If the needles are not for your model they could be too short or too thick so that they don't sit in the shank correctly. Check your user manual or Mr Google could help.

Bobbin thread bunching up.

Thread the machine with the presser foot up and see if this will remedy the problem.

If not, refer to the manual to be sure the threading and bobbin are set up as they should be.

If the bobbin thread and top thread continue to not link together, it could be the timing needs to be adjusted.

In this case, take the machine to a Brother dealer for service along with a sample of the stitching.

Can not get the brother XL2600i to stitch the top thread does not catch the thread coming out of the bobbin. so it does not stitch

Make sure the needle has been properly installed - flat side to the back of the machine.

Thread the top thread with the presser foot up - always.

Make sure the bobbin thread is feeding from the bobbin spool in the correct direction and through the correct guides.

Hold onto the thread tail at the needle and lower (by hand and not the power pedal) and raise the needle to pull the bobbin thread to the top of the machine.

Take both thread tails under the presser foot and to the back of the machine before you begin to sew.

Brother Sewing Machine model:CS8150 bobbin thread problems

The top of the machine is not threaded correctly. First raise the presserfot then rethread the machine. Bottom looping is usually caused by a lack of top tension. There could allso be a bur on the hook.
