Question about Computers & Internet
It seems that it is not picking up the signal from the remote, even moving the remote around makes no difference, it also sometimes only records part of a program.

we have been seeing a lot of the starter buttons going bad here lately, either the head light won't come back on or the starter won't connect. try spraying wd-40 in above the starter and push button and allow it to snap out do this a few times to get some of the wd-40 to the contacts of the switch. if you get lucky this will clean the contacts and save you the expense of replacing the switch. because it only comes in the complete right handle bar switch assembly.

If the old batteries were dead for a while before you replaced them (or you took too long to switch them), your remote has probably lost the codes for your devices. You will need to program the remote codes again before it works.
If not, your remote is probably faulty - possibly the infra-red (IR) transmitter. You can use a video camera to check transmitters. The flashes are invisible to the naked eye, but can be seen through the view finder on a video camera.
