I think the pre-adjust settings are to turn jets in all the way and back out 1.5 turns each. then:

You will find a Low and High adjustment screw. At idle turn the screw in or clockwise until the rps starts to decrease. Then start turning it out till you hit max idle rpms. Turn screw back in a quarter to half turn and it should be idling smoothly. Be careful here and get someone to hold saw if necessary but hold in throttle to full speed and do the same with high adjustment screw. turn it in till rpm starts to drop then back it out until you get to max rpm and it won't go any higher then turn it back in a half a turn.

SOURCE: chainsaw gas mixture ratio

An XL from that time frame recommends 32:1 here:
http://www.acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/ed1d619968136da688256af40002b8f7/d4b1071a456ca76c88256cd6001cc24c?OpenDocument
If my saw it would be adjusted for and operate on 50:1.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 80 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Thank you for using FixYa and Good Luck. HTH

SOURCE: gas oil mixture

The header says that it is an electric saw which would only require bar oil. A 2-stroke gas engine, however, does require fuel mixed with a modern saw oil at 40:1 ratio plus bar/chain oil in it's own tank as well. Always premix the fuel and oil in a separate can and shake well even before filling the saw. Hope this helps!

I need the standard idle and air mixture settings on carburettor

Then you need to find your Factory Service Manual (FSM, or workshop manual) this will give you the appropriate factory mixture screw settings, and settings for idle speed for the carb that your bike came equipped with. Try searching for a PDF online of the manual. I keep mine on my smartphone for easy access; they are invaluable.

Fuel/oil mixture ratio huskvarna 350

With Husqvarna two stroke oil it should run at 50-1, with other two stroke oil run it at 25-1 as we do not know the quaility of other oils, always try to use Husqvarna oil.

Stalls at full power.

Chainsaws run a little on the rich side when free running, this additional fuel is then used drawn upon when the saw goes under load, so i would say it is running a bit on the lean side, you need to make an adjustment to the H mixture screw on the carb, unscrew the screw approx 1/2 turn and see if this makes it any better.

You have to have the choke partially on for the saw to run even after it is warm.Been that way since it was new.

It is running too lean on the mixture screws, unfortunatly the screws will have anti tamper sleeves on, you need to pull these back to richen the mixture, the way to do this without the correct tool, is to find a suitable self tapping screw, screw this into the end of the caps, when the end od the screw hits the screw below the cap will start to draw off, once it has come back enough it will allow you to enter a 2mm screw driver through the centre and make an adjustment to the screws beneath, un screw both screws ( anti clockwise ) 1/4 turn each, they are fuel screws not air screws so this will richen the mixture, try the saw again, if no better try a further 1/4 turn on the L screw.
Good luck

Starts, idles and runs but quits after a few seconds of cutting

Check the air cleaner and muffler for plugging. One screw adjusts the idle stop (idle speed) position and the H and L jet screws set fuel mixture for high speed and idle speed mixture respectively. Turn both jet screws CW to stops (lightly) then back each out CCW 1-1/2 turns. This is a basic setting and should allow the engine to start and run. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Pull the throttle full on and adjust H CW until the engine starts to speed up, but 4-strokes. Correct adjustment is when the engine 4--strokes running free, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L needle CW until the engine idles fairly well, but allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust the idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine will continue to run. Hope this helps!
