SOURCE: Bosch Classixx 1200 Express wont spin!!!! HELP

Make sure that all the water has drained from the washer, if it has a filter, remove and clean, it is located behind a removable plastic panel at the front of the m/c, if it still does not spin, suggest you remove motor and check the brushes for wear, this is often the reason it won't spin, but will wash o/k.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks

SOURCE: bosch 1200 classic express washing machine wont spin

Providing the machine isn't requiring major breakdown repair, the problem should be solved by emptying the machine and cleaning the drain pump. If this is obstructed the maching won't drain or spin as any bits left in clothes (paper clips, coins, nails, screws etc) wedge themselves into the (what I call a fly wheel) the pump impeller wheel at the back. If the fly wheel can't rotate the machine cannot pump or spin.

So.........turn off the washing machine before you fiddle about with it. Then, at the bottom right-hand side at the front of the machine there's a drop down door. Take this down and take it off. Then, lower the drain hose from its holder and pull the hose out of its housing. Be very careful if you're doing this while you have very hot water in the machine. To be safe, let the water cool before starting. Next take off the closing cap from the hose and empty the water from the machine. There are times when the water doesn't empty by this method so carefully open the door to the machine and bale it out. If the water does come out via the hose, have a suitably sized bucket at the ready as up to 20litres can be drained. Once you've done this, put back the closing cap of the drain hose and returned the drain hose to its holder, unscrew (anti clockwise) the petrol tank cap look-a-like placing a towel underneath as a little residual water will flow out. The pump impeller (fly wheel) must be able to rotate so clean out any residual fluff from the thread of the pump cap and pump housing before returning the pump cover and screwing tightly on. Put back the drop down flap and, hopefully, away you'll go again.

Hope this is of some help.

We had similar problem, with the spin cycle not working. We opened the 'drain' pipe (front-right bottom side). It was full of lime scale; never been opened for years. We cleaned it up and the spin cycle is now working.

Possibly a blocked filter or pump.
Ths filter should be at the bottom right front of washer, sometimes behind a removeable cover at the bottom of washer.
To clean it, unscrew anti-clockwise, remove and clean.

Cl what does this mean as cant put machine on

If the washer won't start the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.
Normally "Cl" stands for child lock.

Bosch excel 7 vario perfect has a child lock - have put on in error and cant take off?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Methinks you really could do with a manual- for now and possibly later for other problems which may occur!
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My bosch classixx 1200 wont spin when on function but will spin by hand i have cleaned the pipes and checked the belt everything seems ok

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

It does sound as if the motor requires replacement because it is struggling, particularly when called upon to run the spin cycle. It is not uncommon to find that the brushes are worn sufficiently for them to not make perfect contact with the commutator at the higher speeds- bouncing and sparking. Now, a word or two of advice from this retired Englishman in SW France. It might be suggested that just the brushes on the motor want changing; experience (of others) suggests that they may only last months rather than many years UNLESS the motor itself is refurbished. Refurbishment includes skimming the commutator on which the brushes run. Without skimming the brushes do not sit cleanly on the commutator (like the worn ones!), often causing excessive sparking and excessive wear on BOTH. Alternately a new motor! I changed the motor on our 19+ year-old Bosch at a cost of GBP250 ;-0(
The choice of course is entirely up to you- but do not forget that it is not an uncommon fault, especially if the washer is not exactly new. Others I have given this advice to have chosen new brushes and I don't blame them!

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
