Which timer do you have?
Many timers are not rated for sunlight bulbs, either because the bulbs draw too much amperage, or the timer is not made for that type bulb.
Look at rating plate on timer, and look up the product manual for more clarification.
Copy following links to help identify timer and download manual and possibly select timer rated for the amperage, and/or possible exposure to heat.
For example appliance timer, or above ground portable pool pump timer with GFCI might be best choice.

I have a mark i tanning bed with a token timer need wiring diagram please for tanning bed

tanning beds are no longer acceptable because they are a proven source of melanoma cancers with a high death rate of users

They concentrate UV rays that are the main cause of the cancer

Now that you still want to promote your own demise from cancer, have a electrician check the wiring out as you are not qualified to do that and simply put the power wire in to the time on to the power put wire to the timer and feel free to burn your self to death

In this country tanning beds are declared illegal and they cannot be sold , modified or imported because of the extreme problem with cancers . All tanning salons have thrown them in the junk heap

I was able to find you a PDF Manual for the tanning bed model you listed, the key to looking for it online was to enter Wolff Sunvision Tanning bed......without the Wolff part it didn't come up.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Are tanning beds safer than tanning in the sun?

Although tanning beds are more controlled than tanning outside in the sun, ultimately all exposure to UV rays is potentially dangerous to the skin and can put you at risk of skin cancer and premature aging. For a safer way of tanning - look for sunless tanning products rather than using tanning beds or laying on the beach for hours.

Are there different types of tanning beds for use at home?

There are basically 2 main types of tanning beds for home use. The first one is the most common type - which is the horizontal bed or the capsule. Less known is the stand-up vertical chamber. Both types work on the same principle of emiting UV rays to mimic the sun

My local tanning salon said they use Wolff tanning lamps. What does that mean?

Wolff tanning lamps give off UV tanning rays like the sun but only UVA and UVB rays to help tan without increasing the risk of burning. These are the type of tanning beds that most salons use.

Is tanning on a tanning bed just like tanning outside in the sun?

No - it's very different as outside, various objects block the direct rays of the sun and allow you to be outside in the sun for a lot longer. Tanning beds are very instense. You should not be on the bed for longer than 10-12 minutes for your first sessions and be very careful about adding extra time.
