There are 2 fuses on the mother board. You can go to the Toyotomi website download the Owners Manual and look at 49 and 50 in the parts list and picture.

SOURCE: How to take apart case and back flush heat exchange fins

You do not have to remove the coils. Just carefully lift the top with the motor and set it aside (power off). Spray the outside with a foaming cleaner (Dow bathroom) and flush from inside out.

My 2000 Lincoln LS ran hot and powered off. Not when it cranks, it sounds horrible. Loud, knocking noise.

If your engine shut itself off when it was overheating then you, have internal damage to your engine. It will have to be taken apart by someone who is knowledgeable about this problem. I would suggest either the dealer or an engine rebuild shop.My suspicions would be warped heads, bad head gaskets, possible seized wrist pins or scoured bearings. You will not be able to repair it by bolting on new parts. You also won't be able to accuratly diagnose the problem without at least partial disassembly.

I took apart and used dust sprayer on fan and cleaned it up good, but what is the heat sink I'm reading about? I only did the fan blades and area around it thinking that did it but it still shuts off ....

Heat sink is usually connected to the fan by copper tubes or fins, this is what disperses the heat from the CPU to outside the case. Sometimes the fan is directly on top of the heat sink but more often now the heat sink is next to the fan and outside air is drawn through these copper fins to remove the heat from the CPU.

Leaking from inside box for few days , plumber said condensation built up to use fan to dry out.

If the water is coming down over the fan motor, you probably have a heat exchanger leak. If the heat exchanger is leaking, it needs to be replaced. The heat exchanger is the large copper box on top of the heater.

Error code 12? Cleaned dust, what else?

a number 12 is a flame failure. Most likely it is a dirty flame rod. If you remove the front panel by taking out the two screws on the top right and left side and then unplug the electrical connection, you will see a plastic cover on the heat exchanger. Take the cover off and then unplug the three wires from the probes. Remove the probes. Be careful of the thin gasket. The flame probe is the small ceramic probe on the left. Take a scotch-brite pad and give it a good cleaning. Reassemble everything the way it came apart and try the heater. There are two small rectangle metal covers held on to the heat exchanger by a screw. Remove these and look into the heater thru the windows. You should see a blue flame right where the flame rod is located. If you don't, there is a gas flow issue. Spiders love to make webs in dark places. When you have the flame rod out inspect the heat exchanger for debris.

Blower fan will not come on when set on Auto in heat mode.

the fan is controlled by a fan center or a stack switch. as burners light and heat up the spring sensor on the bulkhead above burners heats up and turns and a a point energizes the indoor fan if it gets to hot the burners go out on safty. sounds like a fan control is bad tap on them gently and they sometimes break loose but if not then have a pro replace fan control and test heat exchanger.
