All the information is here. It is a heating sensor error. There is also a video.

If you have a GE oven with an electric ERC, F2 means it is over heating. It is an oven. It is supposed to heat up. For the GE electric ovens and some others, F2 means it thinks the temperature is 590 degrees or higher with the door unlocked or 990 degrees with the door locked.Oct 11, 2015

When I bake, my oven will start beeping and flash F2, what is that and how do I stop it?

Which manufacturer built your oven? The F2 error usually means that the oven temperature sensor is claiming the oven is too hot (or got too hot in the past). This usually requires replacing the temperature sensor. Sometimes, the control unit (clock) needs to be replaced.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the make and model of your oven for additional support.

What does the warning error F2 mean?

the f2 code means the their is a problem with the oven sensor
the sensor is a electronic thermostat if you know where to find in to check it unplug it and insert meter leads set to ohms setting, at room temp. the meter should show between 1060-1100 ohms (in the midsts of this heat wave it may be up to 1150 ohms) if the reading is higher or lower than that the sensor should be replaced

Oven will not come on. Display screen flashes F2.

The error code means that bad relay on control board.
It could also mean that sensor is not making proper
connection with the board.

EO F2 on our Kenmore oven keeps coming up.

The "F2 - E0" error code means "Shorted keypad".

Remove power from the range, open the control panel and unplug the membrane switch ribbon from the control board.Reconnect power to the range and observe for an hour.If the error code reappear - replace the control board. If not - replace the membrane switch.

F2 Oven overheats

jaz3133, it's probably the temp sensor that has gone bad. You should be able to get it from the front. It's the probe that comes out from the back wall of the oven. You can have someone ohm it out. Should read approx 1100 ohms at room temp. Part number for the temp sensor is WB20K5040. Make sure power is off befor removing the sensor. Catriver..post back.
