SOURCE: cleaning the fan and heat sink
I would first check for any trojans, virus's and spyware, and any programmes running at start up you don't need, as that can cause overworking of the processor, then instead of stripping down the notebook, which i don't recommend, look around any vented area of your notebook and hoover out the vents gently, this will remove any dust blokages. Give your system a good clean out with this excellent free tool called ccleaner and you can also dissable any startup programmes you dont want with the programme also. Download it here, fre and free updates and spyware free, click link and then on the right of link click download latest version. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Sounds like you may be able to fix it by flushing your antifreeze and back flushing the heater core. Some car owners cheep out and put stop leak into the antifreeze, others dont change there antifreeze at all. Both are mistakes.

The heater core might need back flushed, I just did mine this winter. Go to dakota-durango.com and introduce your self and your rare as ever truck, a v6 durango, and have fun.
