Needle sliding

Going on what little you have written, the most likely cause is a worn or bent needle. http://www.turntableneedles.com/search.asp?keyword=793-d&search=GO is the needle type that should be correct for your Teac SL-A100 Turntable.

I've just set up my Technics SL D212 turntable after moving house. It keeps skidding across records. I've tried the usual adjustments and leveled the turntable. Any clues?

Please make 100% certain the needle is still in place... To test this *GENTLY* rub your fingertip over it and you should hear noise from the speakers when you do. If there is NO noise then there is likely no needle.
Did you put the protective device on the needle/arm for the move? Is it still on there?
Sorry Mate, that the only thing I've got to help....

Hi, could just be platter not fitted hard down on spindle. I suggest you remove the platter and place it upon a dead flat surface to check to see that the platter is flat. If it is flat refit to turntable ensuring it is hard down on the spindle. If bent discard and replace with new platter.Platters can be ordered for all model 1200/1210 from styluscity@gmail.com

Are u sure it's not the needle? What brand needles are you using and I usually recommend people have small fans by turntables to have airflow so dust doesnt become a problem, expecially for DJ's

NEED A BELT FOR MY DC SERVO AUTOMATIC TURNTABLE SYSTEMS SL-B210

You have to check an electronic store. If it does not have old one get a piece of string and measure around where the belt goes so you can know how big it is. Or you would have to order online, russell electronics sells all type of electronic belts you would have to search for a radioshack or another electronic store in your area.

I've knocked the start button off my 1210's..brass shaft has dropped..HELP !

No easy way to fix this. You can do this one of two ways:

1) The correct way
You'll have to open up your turntable, and this means going in from the bottom. Instructions for opening your turntable are located HERE. Once your inside, you'll see the area where you need to be working. You'll need to order a new On/Off switch, which can be found HERE. Just put back on the way you took off the old one, and that's pretty much it. There is a small spring and a small metal ball bearing you have to be careful you don't lose when removing the old power knob shaft. This is held down by a cir-clip on a white plastic piece. You have to remove this piece in order to swap out the old brass shaft with the new shaft/knob.

2) The incorrect way - but easy to do.
Try and grab the brass shaft with a pair of needle nose pliers or similar. Grab your broken On/Off knob and put some crazy glue on the inside where the shaft aligns. Carefully place the knob on the shaft, and hold in place. This will be somewhat tricky, but you'll figure out a way. You might have to flip your turntable upside down in order to get the shaft to stick out. Just make sure if you do flip the turntable upside down, that you don't rest your turntable on your tonearm - otherwise you'll have an even bigger issue.

Good Luck!
