Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Well, apparently this is a huge problem with many flat screen TV's. They surpress the volume output from all external sources (like DVD players) so you don't blow up their tiny speakers. They just expect you to add on a home theatre system to boost the volume their small speakers cannot handle. This is a real problem if you are in a boat or RV and do no have the space or electrical capacity to do this. I had the TV checked out and Sharpe said it met their factory standards so there was no help there. We have had to go with a small amp & speakers just to hear the TV & DVD movies etc. They need to put better quality speakers in these TVs. The video is awesome, now work on the audio guys!

SOURCE: volume not loud enough
are you watching movies frm a dvd player with the sound up, if so, turn the sound up on the dvd player remote and see hwo that works. eor, if its movies on normal tv screen, go to settings and click booster sound too hear better. if yours does not have this, ring your manufacture for a refunded tv with better speakr sound quality.

It sounds like the button is stuck. Take the remote apart if you can and see if the key is stuck somewhere. This happened to me once with a rubber key type of remote. It drove me crazy.

If you use a digital cable box, it could be that the volume on that isn't turned up all the way. I didn't even realize the box had volume controls until 2 years after I got it...makes a HUGE difference now

You have to check three things.
1. Check is the mute function is ON or not. For that press the mute button on the remote.
2. Check the speakers of you tv. For that you have to open the tv. For testing the speaker you need a multimeter. Check the coil continuity of the speaks. it should be 4 ohms or 8 ohms. If there is no continuity then change the speaker with a new one. If the continuity is ok then
3. You have to check the audio output amplifier IC ( integrated circuit). For finding out the audio amplifier ic which one it is, just follow the wire from the speakers. Its other end will ends in the socket near the audio output IC. It will be fitted on a aluminum heat sink (radiator)
To replace the IC you need soldering ion, desoldering pump, solder etc.
the part number will be written on it. you have to purchase the same part with the same part number.
