I added coals to my Charbroil Deluxe 7000 grill, and then they disintegrated. Have I ruined the grill?

Is the grill that you are using gas? If so make sure it is compatible to use with coals. You might also be looking for briquets.

How do you condition a new grill?

Start some coals with the grate off the grill. As the coals are heating up, coat the grate in *vegetable* shortening using a paper towel. Place the grate back on the grill over the hot coals and cover. Allow the coals to burn off; this process will coat the grate with a protective layer of oil.

You might also consider running the grate through a burnoff process BEFORE curing to remove any coating the manufacturer used for protection during shipping. To do this, burn some coals for roughly 30 minutes under the grate with the lid down, let cool, then condition per previous instructions.

Cooking info

You can print a new manual off of www.chargriller.com. But, the basics are:
1) Take cooking grates off of grill
2) Put enough charcoal on the grill to cover the desired cooking area two coal layers high
3) Pile up desired amount of charcoal (laid out in step 2)
4) Spray lighter fluid all over charcoal pile
5) Light the pile
6) Let the pile burn until the flames die out and most of the coal has turned white
7) Spread the coals back out (use tongs they will be hot). Put any coals that are still black on top of the white ones.
8) Put your cooking grates back on the grill and let the last black coals turn white and the grates heat up.
9) Now cook!

Wont start when its wet out.just replaced the coils and module

Check that the drain holes in the engine bay scuttle are not blocked with dirt or leaves etc, because if they block up and the scuttle area at the rear of the engine fills up with water, it can create a short at the electical connections that maybe there. On BMW the computer is there, and when this scenario happens it shuts the power to the ecu and wont start. Hope that helps

Water sloshing in dashboard

It won't be in the dashboard it will be in the scuttle tray because the drains are blocked.

Lift bonnet, right at the back of the engine bay at the base of the windscreen you will see plastic cowls. The scuttle area is beneath these, there will be a drain either side. It is common for cars parked near trees to get leaves block up the scuttle drains. If you clear them obviously the water will escape... problem solved.

Do this ASAP, if the water level goes too high it will pour in through the heater system and possibly cause damage.

Hope this helps
