You must set the watch so the exact time will be synchronized with exact time of high tide at your particular port. (see attached image)
    1. The initial setting of the watch for the correct tide and time should be done while high tide is occurring at your chosen port.
    2. Carefully unscrew the crown (if you have a screw down model). Pull the crown out all the way.
    3. Because the tide indicator ball moves around the high tide position (pos. 4) at a different speed, this step to synchronize tide and time may take you several minutes and many rotations of the crown. Be patient. Adjust the tide and standard time by turning the hands clockwise (pos. 3.2) until the indicator ball is in the high tide position (pos.4) and the hands are set to exact time of high tide in your area.
Note: The tide indicator ball moves around the display at a different speed than the hands rotate about the dial.
    4. Setting the moon phase - Turn the hands counter clockwise (pos. 3.1) to obtain the desired moon phase).
    5. Turn the hands clockwise (pos. 3.2) and set the exact time.
    6. Gently push the crown in until it clicks (pos. 3.2) and turn the crown to set the correct date.
    7. Gently push the crown in. (Screw down model - while pushing the crown down, screw in tight).

I have a model 31420E skyscan & have lost the instruction manual. Also I live in Sydney Australia and don't know anywhere here to get help.

I couldn't find the manufacturers' web site but I found the following , which may help;-

The unit automatically receives the time signal everyday at midnight and makes any required adjustment to the time displayed.

The WAVE OK indicator and the Tower Icon on the display will show if the time signal is successfully received or after manually pressing the SET/WAVE button

You can trigger a Signal Receive operation at any time by pressing the SET/WAVE button, which will activate the Signal Search function of the unit.
To Manually Set the Clock
To Set the Year and Date
1. Press SET/WAVE button after setting TIME ZONE and DST
2. Press + or - button sequentially to set the year (holding down the button will change the year at a high speed)
3. Press SET/WAVE button to confirm the year set and start the date process
4. Press + or - button sequentially to set the current date (holding down the button will change the date at a high speed)
NOTE: The weekday changes automatically depending on the year and date

To Set the Time
1. Press the SET/WAVE button after setting the calendar
2. Press + or - button sequentially to set the minutes (holding down the button will change the year at a high speed)
NOTE: Once you the press + or - button, the seconds will reset to 00

To set the 12/24 HR mode and the Temperature Mode
1. Press SET/WAVE button after setting the time
2. Press the + button to toggle between between 12HR and 24HR (military) modes
3. Press the - button to toggle between C and F temperature display mode
4. Press SET/WAVE button to confirm and quit the set mode

There are so many applications use of the manual will be mandatory.

Use the four numbers on the back of your watch and you will have a PDF version of your instruction manual.

Hope this tip helps

Cannot reset time

Hi to anyone with a wave ceptor, when you replace a battery you need to re calibrate the hands to 12 o'clock (also those with a 24 hour hand will need to be set to 24) this is called the home position, the same goes to stopwatch hands.
The hand setting settings vary wildly from watch to watch you will need to consult the manual or if you have lost it download thePDF file from casios support page, www.casio.co.uk , you will need adobe reader or a similar program that reads PDF files also you will need the module number, this can be found as a 4 figure number on the back of the watch, these instructions are easy enough to understand, i managed to set mine no problem.
Good luck!!!!

Casio Gulfman G9100 tide setting. where to find Lunar Tidal Interval?

If you look at the GMT differential in the manual, you'll notice that it corresponds to the offset from GMT that your time zone resides in. I live in San Antonio but i don't see that on the list. I do know that when we're not in Daylight savings time, I'm -6.0 from GMT... so that's what i set it for. Also, if you're near enough to the coast to use this feature, it would probably be a good idea to compare the watch reading to the actual tides and adjust accordingly.

Hope this helps.
