Question about Computers & Internet
When I play and jiggle the power cord in the rear of the screen where it connects, the blinking will either delay or stop for a moment. Seems like a possible power connection issue. Has anyone seen this before?
Power supply has problems, probably capacitor related. Replacement monitor is very inexpensive.

The jack or AC power pin can be fixed yourself if you're up to it. The part is usually under $10. I've done three (2 Fujitsu' and a Sony. Take your time when you take it apart and take pictures of the disassembly. They will com in very handy when you start to put it all back together again. When you get it fixed invest in a proper cable retention device so the AC power pin doesn't get damaged again. This short Chris Pirillo Video talks about CRDs on laptops.

SOURCE: HP Pavillion power link blinks
I have a DV1130us and I'm having the same problem. I've already replaced 2 blown SMD capacitor on the motherboard, originally would only short out and obviously not boot or charge.
But I think it may be the MAX1907a chip, basically the actual power supply controller for the laptop, though it may also just be another bad cap somewhere. If/when I get mine working I will post what I did to get it to charge.

SOURCE: Hello, I have a problem
Unplug the computer and take out the battery.
Hold the power button for ten seconds.
Leave the battery out and plug in the power cord.
Press the power button.
If the computer turns on, put the battery and everything should now work.
This has solved every "laptop not turning on problem" for me and my friends.
