Usually you have to loosen the hand wheel inner from outer . of course you could go buy a separate bobbin winder , I have seen them at my local walmart

I was given a 6510 still in the box. I have the bobbin in and threaded but the needle will not move. The bobbin winder is moved to the left. The motor runs but no movement. What can I try?

Did you disengage the bobbin winder? That is a safety feature to prevent the machine sewing at the same time as the bobbin is winding.

How to release outer wheel to wind bobbin w/out needle engaged

It is the center of that outer wheel that needs to be turned counter clockwise to engage the bobbin winder and disengage the needle.

Bobbin winder is engaged and shows up on screen correctly, but sewing mode is still engaged and bobbin winding keeps stopping.

check the drive knob on the end of the machine
it should be loose when winding a bobbin
if it is tight or seized then that will drive the needle

How to get it off bobbin wind

This is covered in the user manual. If you haven't got one search online for "user manual + your make & model". You should get several decent hits like.

How do i rethread the bobin

You have to get the machine to switch its gear to wind the bobbin instead of sewing( needle up and down). There are two ways most machines do this...on older or simpler machines you pop the wheel that makes the needle go up and down ( right side of the machine) either in or out! There may be a round knob in the center that pops in or out... Other machines make you move the rod that the bobbin sits on for winding move or swing to engage the gear. There should be a path for it to slide along if that is what your machine does. Good luck!

How do I engage the bobbin winding gear for Pfaff 7570?

To disengage the needle while winding a bobbin do the following: the handwheel on the right end of the machine has an inner knob. hold the outer rim of the handwheel stationary as you rotate the inner knob counterclockwise. Also make sure the bobbin winding peg is pushed over to the right and the bobbin is seated on the peg.
