How to reset thermostat

as it is a honeywell product and the new second one didn't work it is not for fixya site to fix but as the new part is still under warranty then it is up to honeywell agents to come and fix under warranty
if push comes to shove talk legal, action as it is the company's responsibility to fix faults of new products under warranty
It was not even up to you to buy a new part as it should have been replaced free

Off switch

How about a free replacement heater?

There has been a recall since 2002 on some Honeywell portable baseboard heaters. Check this link, or call Honeywell ASAP. The ON/OFF switch failed (with a burning plastic odor) on my HZ-514.

http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2002/CPSC-Honeywell-Consumer-Products-Announce-Recall-of-Moveable-Baseboard-Heaters/

"Consumers should stop using these heaters immediately, unplug them, and contact HCP at (800) 290-8495 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET Monday through Sunday or log on to the company's website at www.honeywell.com to determine whether their heater is part of the recall."

I hope this is a solution for you, and you are safely warm again in the near future. off-switch-gwybjxudtwjfkyidrgix5fxs-5-0.jpg CPSC Honeywell Consumer Products Announce Recall of Moveable Baseboard...

when most ceramic room heaters stop working, the blower is clogged with lint and dust from floor use . get an air compressor, or a can of air. take unit outside using a small head philips driver remove screws while laying on an old sheet .disassemble cover carefully and blow dust away from you and clean blade without bending with a toothbrush in vinegar water not gettting any liquid on the electrical parts. reassemble. thanks karl

Honeywell HZ517 Electric Baseboard Heater not powering up

first.... did they work in the past?? if so... you may have a defective thermastat. if not, usually it is a incorrect wiring problem. wiring in two baseboard heaters to one thermastat can be tricky if you do not know what you are doing. baseboard heaters by design seldom go bad.... if wired correctly the problem could be a defective thermastat or safety limit switch.

Honeywell T86A3006 24V Class 2 Round thermostat 8020

The honeywell tradeline thermostat would work as a direct replacement (no mercury in the new ones), however if your using just heaters and no cooling system off of it, you could Heat only thermostat from honeywell that would replace your unit as well. Both at available at Ace Hardware with the heat only unity being roughly 7 dollars cheaper.

Wont heat up

I have an HZ519 that stopped working as well. I found that the anti tip switch is in fact a mechanical weight type if switch and not a mercury switch. The problem I'm having is that the plastic stud that the anti tip switch mounts to is melting causing the switch to come loose and fall to the bottom of the heater and therefore stop working properly depending upon the position the switch is in when it lands.
Does anyone know if Honeywell has a retrofit for this problem?
Thank you,
Randy
