Question about Pioneer Car Audio & Video
Just a suggestion...look up stereo plug online and look at pic of it...make sure your looking at it right (whether the tab on pigtail goes in top or bottom). Write down colors and where they are...blk is ground...red is ignition...yellow is constant power or battery...blue is antenna or amp remote... orange is illumination... white is front SPK...grey is other front and purple and green are the rear..

Rob, I had the exact same problem, I kept searching on line and came upon Alex in Australia, he deals in Nakamichi products, and has the part (plug/wiring harness). He charges $55 for the part and $30 for express shipping.
Here's his email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I have also found a site with the Manual: http://www.nakremotes.com/default.htm
Click on "Model List" and look for your model, in the manual there's the wire color code for the pinout. I also have the pinout by wire color, no room to include, will send in another response.
[ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ] Looking @ pins in socket
[ 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 ] Naka CD45-Z deck
Note: The above diagram is done from the perspective of looking directly on to the connector pins. If you are having trouble figuring out which way is which, just use the ground wire, which is always black, as a reference for making sure you are doing the pins correctly.

I don't know what pins are what on the METRA harness, but the wires coming from the back of the Pioneer unit should be:
red accessory (KEY)
yellow memory constant power,
blue is remote,
orange is for the dimmer,
green with black is left rear neg.and green is positive,
violet black is right rear negative and violet is positive,
white is left front positive and white with black is negative,
gray black is right front negative and gray is positive.
If you don't have the pioneer harness (and so these wire colors dont' mean much to you) just message back here, and I'll map those wire colors to pin positions on the back of the unit.
